(This chapter contains a little bit of spice. I'll let you know though when it's a bit too spicy. *Hands reader a potato covered in pepper*)
After everything settled down and the medication that I was on continued to work, the school year started up again. Ryu had healed for the most part except for a few scars, which I had to heal a few things on him before he went back to school. Nothing interesting happened for the first few weeks other than class 1-A training nonstop for their provisional license exams. As usual every year, I was to join Aizawa with chaperoning the kids. I woke up that morning, dreading the day cause I knew that I was going to have to put up with Ms. Joke. From the first moment that I met her, I really disliked her and dreaded every second that I was to be around the woman.
Anyways, I got out of bed with a sigh, looking over to see that Chi was already hard at work.
As I walked to the bathroom, I stopped at his side and kissed his cheek. "Back to the old grindstone already." I said in a tone that said I didn't want to go back to work.
"I know you love working with the kids and watching them grow into the heroes that will replace you one day." he said as he concentrated on the computer screen.
I sighed again before admitting, "I know...I can't wait to see what they all will become one day. It's probably one of the most rewarding things that I do." I paused to sigh before continuing, "But I'd rather stay home with you, Rei, and the cats."
Still keeping his eyes glued to the screen, he said, "I know you would, hun."
I sighed again, "I guess I better leave you to your work." and started for the bathroom to get ready.
I quickly changed into my hero costume and everything. Surprisingly I got ready faster than what I thought that it would have taken me. I wanted to stop by Chi again and talk, but I knew that he was busy, so I didn't want to bother him more than what I already had. As I walked past him, he spun around in his chair and quickly took me by my arm, pulling me onto his lap. He pulled my hood down and held me close to him.
"You should get back to your work." I said as I tried to stand up.
He kept a tight grip on me as he said, "My work will always be here; besides, I'm getting a head start on something, so it's not due for a while." He kissed my cheek. "I'm sorry for brushing you off."
"It's okay, but I understand that work is more important though." I said in an understanding tone.
He tapped my cheek lightly, "Oh stop that. I love you and I will never stop." I smiled, which he then kissed me. "Goddamn, you have such a beautiful smile." Kissing me again, but this time he held it out longer. Once he stopped, he had a smile plastered to his face. "Are you sure that you can't stay home? I all of a sudden have something planned for the two of us."
I stood up and said as I turned to him, "I'm afraid I can't this time. I have to chaperone the kids when they go and test for their provisional hero license, so of course I have to go." then turned for the door. He playfully smacked my ass, making me swing around to look at him. I tried to have a pissed off expression, but I couldn't suppress a smile. "You're gonna get it when I get back home."
He gave a devilish smile as he rested his chin on his fist since he was resting his elbow on the arm of his chair. "I can't wait."
I turned for the door again as I said, "I know you can't."
He hummed as I opened the door, which he added before I left, "I'll text you throughout the day."
I sighed before I closed the door, "Sure you will."
Just as I was going to descend down the stairs, Rei stopped me. "Hey, mother?"
I turned around towards him to see that he had a duffle bag over his shoulder and his backpack over that. "Good morning, Rei. What's up?"
