Chikao's POV:
I woke up at eight by an alarm that was set on my alarm clock. I opened my eyes, wanting my beautiful wife to be the first thing that I see in the morning, but instead an empty bed took her place. I shot up in bed, quickly reaching back to retrieve my glasses and threw them on. I patted her side of the bed as if it would help my eyes believe that Y/N wasn't there. I then jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom since the door was shut, bursting through the door with my heart racing and bracing myself for the worst. Upon seeing that the bathroom was empty, my heart calmed somewhat even though I was still panicking about her whereabouts.
I suddenly heard a clang come from downstairs, so I quickly turned around and ran to see what caused the ruckus. I went down the stairs, skipping at least two steps as I hurried to the kitchen. Once I got there, I realized that the sound was the cats' food bowls being flipped and moved about since Melody and Hina were chasing after one another. I let out a sigh as I looked down before looking out the window at the morning sun on the street, wondering where on earth Y/N could be. It then hit me that she could have gone over to Yamada and Aizawa's. She could have been mad at me for some reason; she was quite quiet.
I ran to the door and slipped on shoes before running out the front door and straight to their apartment. I ran the whole way there and didn't stop until I arrived at their front door; almost getting hit by a car in the process. I rang the doorbell and knocked frantically till someone answered the door. Aizawa opened the door with an angered and tired look, still in his pajamas.
"Hi, sorry to wake you but has Y/N been around lately?" I asked quickly as I still caught my breath.
He raised an eyebrow and replied before a yawn, "No, we haven't. Why? Did another fight happen?"
I shook my head, "No, it's just that she's hit another low spot and she's been worrying me a lot right now. I'm worried because I can't find her, and I'm scared that she's going to do something extremely stupid."
Aizawa sighed as he leaned in the doorway and crossed his arms, "Listen, she won't do anything like that. I'm sure she's told you, but she's given up on trying. Anyways she could just be at the agency. Have you checked there or even texted her on her whereabouts?" I shook my head. He glared at me as he said with a little bit of bite, "Then start there before you wake people in a panic."
"I'm sorry, it's just that she also usually leaves a note if she has to go somewhere while I'm asleep." I added.
He shrugged his shoulders, "I'm sure she's fine. She may just need her space to collect herself from her thoughts."
I took a step forward, "But she shouldn't be alone!" I exclaimed.
He glared at me again, "Give her some credit. She may be going through a tough time, but she can stand her ground." he then looked away, "Don't forget what she was like when she was kidnapped that one time. She was recovering from so much yet she still tried to show to the public and everyone else that nothing was wrong. She tried to hide the fact that her spirit was crushed." he looked back to me with a stern expression, "Space. Just give her the space that she is asking for. She'll be back in no time."
I felt a little crushed. "Are you sure that I shouldn't look for her? I'm beyond worried about her."
He nodded his head once, "Yes, so just relax and don't think of it. I understand where you come from, but she's been through way more than any of us. Sometimes a broken person needs to be alone for a while, away from the public eye."
"Fine, I'll go back home and try to relax until she gets back." I said unwillingly.
He stood up from leaning on the doorframe and uncrossed his arms, putting a hand on the doorknob, "Alright, now see you later. I'm going back to bed."
