Chapter 34: Am I real?

I woke up the next morning feeling a little cold. I pulled the blanket up to my chin and closed my eyes as I tried to feel around for Chi so he could give me some warmth since the blanket was next to useless. I opened my eyes with discontent and saw through blurry vision that Chi wasn't there in the small bed with me or in the chair next to it. I sat up with a quick sigh and reached for my glasses, then my phone to text him.

Me: Where are you?

There was a long thirty seconds before the bubble of three dots popped up.

♥Chi♥:  Sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. I figured I should check up on Rei and make him something to eat. I'll be over there in thirty minutes to an hour.

Me: It's alright, stay there, I have an idea.

♥Chi♥: No, you are going to stay at the hospital until the doctor discharges you.

Me: Who ever said that I was going to leave?

♥Chi♥: I know you too well, don't I?

Me: ...Yeah, you're probably right about that...ANYWAYS there's no need for you to come back. I'll see you in a bit.

♥Chi♥: Whatever you have planned better be that you stay at the hospital.

Me: I love you * 3*♥

♥Chi♥: Y/N I swear to god.

I shut off my phone and pushed back the covers before kicking my legs over the side of the bed and attempted to stand. I was still a little wobbly on my feet, but I knew I was going to be alright. I used a quirk to instantly change into dark blue skinny jeans and a galaxy hoodie.

'I should use my quirks sparingly since just changing into different clothes took a lot out of me...shit...I don't think I'll make it to where I need to go...'

I shoved what little I had into my hoodie pocket before hobbling out of my hospital room. I walked to the front desk and discharged myself before walking out the hospital's front doors and out into the cold. I took a deep breath before I teleported to the front door of the house. Good thing I appeared inside since as soon as I arrived, my knees couldn't hold myself anymore. As I looked up, I saw Chi running from somewhere within the kitchen towards me.

"Babe, what the hell are you doing here?!" he exclaimed before bending down to help me up as he said in a more composed tone, "Did you get hurt?"

"No, I'm alright." I said as he helped me up by putting an arm around me and under my arms.

As he got me standing with his arm still around me, he said, "I'm going to take you back to the hospital."

I smiled, "You can't, I discharged myself."

He glared at me and shook his head, "If I didn't love you as much as I do, I would make you march back." I then gave a mischievous laugh. He looked down and sighed, "Come on, let's get you to bed."

"You're still making something for Rei, right?"

"Yeah..."

I smiled, "Take me to the kitchen then, I want to be around you."

"But you should sleep." he insisted.

"But I don't want to be alone." I said in a sad tone, knowing that I'd tug at his heart strings.

He then began to help me to the kitchen, "Fine."

He pulled out a chair for me at the kitchen table and helped me to sit down. I looked to him with a pouty face and said in a matching tone, "You don't look too happy to have me back home. Were the parties you were throwing really that good?"
