21 | the thrill

Miliani's POV

"Kylie, over here" Lucas shouted, grabbing all the attention of the class by his overexcited cry of happiness, he was wearing the biggest smile of the century. He really likes her and I want both of them to end up together.

Kylie looked in our direction and her nervous face changed into a happy one when she realised we are going to be her classmates. I was happy too, I like her personality but it's just, insecurities that make people double judge others.

She trudged over to our seats and took one right beside Lucas because it was only one empty. Caim was not in this class so Lucas started to sit behind us once he noticed that we have the same class but he, like Caim doesn't like to sit with just anyone so it was surprising to the class when he called her to sit next to him.

"Hey guys" she chirped in her enthusiastic voice which made a smile form on my lips. Ughh, I can't just assume that she likes Caim, maybe it was something else that made her blush. Yes, it was something else. I'll just stick to that until I find something fishy.

I sounded like a criminal investigator who assumes until they finally find the proof. If I found her behaviour strange towards Caim then I will confront her and ask her whether she likes him or not, I can't just sit and dislike her because she might like my crush, that's absurd so I just have to be patient and wait for the right time.

"Hey Kylie, how did you end up here? Well, no offence, i'm happy that you're here but what made you choose this school out of all the high schools, I mean you could go anywhere- " Lucas rambled on before being cut by Ailee who looked at him amused.

"Lucas, shut up" she grinned when he realised what he was doing, his cheeks flushed into a red shade. He looked so cute that I wanted to pull his cheeks, Lucas is already behaving like a lovesick puppy and it's only been some minutes since Kylie sat beside him.

"I just wanted to come here, I mean I don't know many schools here but after researching some more, this one seemed the most interesting so I enrolled myself in," she said answering all the question of Lucas, who was elated that his crush gave her attention. He looked at her with heart eyes, like if Kylie would say the sky is purple then he is going to look in her eyes and say 'i will give you the purple sky', in short, he is whipped.

"That's great, can I please look at your schedule. Maybe we could have some classes together" I said and took the schedule that she took out from her bag.

1st - social studies
2nd - calculus
3rd - gym
4th - English literature
Lunch
5th - biology
6th - art
7th - chemistry
8th - physics.

We share almost all the classes except, art, biology and physics but she shares those classes with Caim, Ailee and Lucas. Alright, she is not going to be alone.

" you share almost all the classes with us except art, biology and physics. But that's cool because you have them with Ailee, Lucas and Caim" I said and looked at her shortly after I said his name. She smiled at me and nothing, the smile was nothing but full of happiness, no blushing, nothing and I sighed.

" and you can sit with us in lunch," Ailee added and received a small nod of appreciation from Lucas.

"That's so cool. finally, I won't be alone in school," Kylie said but our talk was cut short when Mrs holland told us to be quiet and listen to what she was saying. The rest of the class went with us focusing on the board and taking notes, after the long 45 minutes, the bell rang.

" c'mon Mili let's go," Ailee asked when everybody was moving out of the door. Lucas was already ahead of us, he took Kylie's hand very sneakily and walked out of the class saying ' come I'll help you out of the class ' and winked at us while Kylie stood there with a confused look on her face, before she could say anything he was dragging her outside.
