Loki Laufeyson

After leaving Midgard, and after leaving Stella, I returned back to Asgard.

I was feeling mischievous, so I did what I do best.

I banished Odin to Earth and took his place on the throne.

No one suspected a thing, and I intended on keeping it that way.

Ruling Asgard was a fantastic way to spend my days, and get my mind off Stella in the process.

"Bravo, bravo! Well done, bravo!" I said, clapping once 'The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard' finished.

Of course I made a play about myself.

"Father."

I turned to my right when I heard my brother's voice, seeing him taking a knee.

"Oh, shit." I whispered, putting my drink down and looking around.

"My son Thor, has returned!" I announced, and turned to face him.

"Greetings, my boy."

"It’s an interesting play. What’s
it called?" Thor asked, and I swat the maid away.

"'The Tragedy of Loki of Asgar'd, the
people wanted to commemorate him."

"Indeed they should." Thor said, gesturing to the statue I had the people make of me.

"I like that statue, it's a lot better
looking than he was when he was
alive though, a little less
weasely, less greasy maybe."

Okay, ouch.

"You know what this is?" Thor asked, holding up the skill of Sutur, and I looked at it in surprise.

How did he get that?

"The skull of Surtur? That’s a
formidable weapon."

My brother handed it over to a guard, patting his shoulder.

"Do me a favour. Lock this in a
vault so it doesn’t turn into a
giant monster and destroy the whole
planet."

"So it’s back to Midgard for you, is
it?" I asked hopefully, trying to not make it seem obvious I didn't want him here.

"Nope, I’ve been having this
reoccurring dream lately." He said, swinging Mjolnir around, and I tensed up at the action.

I hate that hammer.

"Every night I see Asgard fall into
ruins-"

"That’s just a silly dream, signs
of an overactive imagination." I interrupted Thor, but he wasn't convinced.

"Possibly, but then I decide to go
out there and investigate. What do I find, but the Nine Realms
completely in chaos." Thor said, and I shrugged.

"Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise, all while you, Odin, the protector of those Nine Realms, are sitting here in your bathrobe, eating grapes."

"Well, it is best to respect our
neighbours freedom." I said, and Thor approached me.

"Of course, the freedom to be
massacred."

"Yes besides, I have been rather
busy myself." I said, and Thor gestured to the play.

"Watching theatre."

"Board meetings, and security
council meetings-" I started, but my brother stared me down, unconvinced.

Shit, he knows.
