Chapter Twenty-Two

"Ate Mich! Ghaaaad! I miss you!" Ayel yelled when I open our dorm's door. I laugh softly as she hug me so tight. I feel home.

"I miss you too. Ssshhh, huwag kang maingay baka magising mo sila."

"I can't help it. I thought you're going to sleep here last night?" She asked.

"Well, i forgot that I have a lot of things to do. Alam mo na, working student."

"Yan tayo eh, hardworking."-Ayel

"Why so early to got up Ayel?" I asked her while removing my shoes and socks.

"Well, i want to be the one who will see you first. Namiss kita eh."-Ayel

"Ikaw talaga. Let me guess, ikaw ang cook noh?" I smillingly asked.

"Nope. It's ate Aly."-Ayel

Sasagot na sana ako ng may biglang magsalita sa likuran ko. "Good morning. Welcome back." A cold voice. I tried to smile and hide my emotions.

"Morning. Welcome din sayo besh." I cheerfully greeted back and turn around to face her. I saw her swallowed and look away from my gaze. "How's life?" I asked ignoring my heart.

She didn't answer me. Infact she met my gaze and gave me a so cold stare. "Nothing much. Life is still life." She murmur and turn her back on me.

I shrugged and look at Ayel. "I need to take a rest. I am tired." Nakangiting sabi ko.

"Yan kasi! Trabaho sa gabi."-Ayel

"Well, wala naman na akong magagawa. Saka para masanay na rin, because after graduation mag wowork lang din naman ako."

"Ano bang work mo ate?" Takang tanong nito.

"Sa company namin. Im managing our branch in Makati. Kaya ayun."

"That's cool! Company owner tapus student..."-Ayel

Ngumiti lang ako sakanya bago nagpaalam at pumasok ng kwarto ko. Nadatnan ko si Ellang natutulog sa kama niya. Nakadapa ito habang nakayakap sa unan na pahaba.

Matapos kong mag-ayos ng gamit ay saka ako dumeretso sa banyo. "I miss this..." Sambit ko ng magsimulang pumatak ang malamig na tubig sa katawan ko. I heard my phone buzzes and a reminder.

'Miss Dennise, your works for today is... First you have to attend four classes until 2:45, second you have review, third practice and last you have a meeting with the board starting at 7:30 to 9:30. That's all for today. Enjoy your day Miss Dennise. And a kiss coming from Jus and Mosh. P.s love you, from mom and dad.'

I smiled before getting out the washroom after taking a bath. "Morning besh." I greeted Ella with a big smile.

"Good morning. I heard your reminders." She said and I can hear sadness on her voice.

"Yes. Why? How are you? Namiss kita." Masayang sabi ko bago yumakap. Hindi ito sumagot, bagkus ay naramdaman ko ang pag haplos niya sa likuran ko. "Papasok na ako, sabay ka saakin?" Takang tanong ko.

"Ang payat mo na besh." Malungkot na sabi niya at hindi pinansin ang tanong ko. "Hindi ka ba matutulog muna?"

"I had plenty of sleep last night besh, dont worry."

"What time did you sleep?"-Ella

"12 midnight."

"What time you woke up?"-Ella

"5:30." Mahinang sabi ko. Tumingala ako sakanya at titig na titig ito saakin. "What? Dali na, maligo kana. Para hindi tayo malate."

Tumayo na nga ito at dumeretso sa banyo. Humarap ako sa mahabang salamin at nakita ang nakangiting Dennise. "Magaling ka." Sambit ko bago nag ayos ng uniform at buhok. Pinonitail ko lang iyon at nag suot ng eye glasses.
