Simoun covered Elias's grave, as he stabbed the shovel in the ground.

Simoun stared at Elias's grave in sorrow, as the winds blew over.

Simoun immediately ran back to Maria's home and slammed her door open.

Maria closed her eyes, breathed in, and spoke.

"Simoun?" asked Maria.

"Elias is dead!" shouted Simoun, teary-eyes while searching for ammunition.

"What?!"

"I'll have their heads, Maria..." said Simoun. "I'll kill them all!!!"

"Simoun, I don't think we should simply do something as foolish as going with the revolution right this instant!" shouted Maria.

"It's the night! Perfect time to murder all these Spanish fuckers!!!" shouted Simoun.

"Who killed him?" asked Maria.

"Damaso!" shouted Simoun. "IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN DAMASO!!! HE'S THE ONE WHO CORRUPTED SALVI!!! HE'S THE ONE WHO SET UP MY PARENTS' MURDERS!!! HE'S THE ONE WHO'S AT TOP, PUPPETEERING THE INDIOS LIKE HIS OWN TOYS!!!"

"Wait, Simoun, listen," said Maria.

"I have to kill them all!" shouted Simoun.

"Simoun," said Maria.

"I have to... plan everything right this moment. I have to do all of this," said Simoun. "I have to kill all of them..."

"Crisostomo," said Maria, and Simoun finally stopped speaking.

"Yes?" asked Simoun.

"Damaso is my Father," said Maria.

"I don't care, Maria... I'll still kill him," said Simoun, seemingly losing every sense of his reason.

"Crisostomo!" she shouted.

"Turn on the cannons, nothing will stop me!!! I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF CHAOS!!! LET CHAOS COME TO THIS NATION!!! FREEDOM AND ANARCHY SHALL RISE FROM CRISOSTOMO AND ELIAS' GRAVES-!!!"

"I'm pregnant!" shouted Maria. "If that won't stop you from doing what you're about to do... I don't know what will... And I don't know if you're still the man I love... If you do this right now, with the revolution unprepared and with you in this state... You'll all die..."

Simoun stared at Maria.

"Is it because I slept with you in secret a month ago?" asked Simoun.

Maria nodded.

"If what you say is true, get out of this country." Simoun took off his jacket, revealing a star-shaped birthmark on the back of his left neck. "I have spare tickets for a voyage out of this country. Get out of here."

"We've been planning this huge revolution for thirteen years-..." said Maria.

"If I fail now, that wouldn't matter, Maria," said Simoun. "Because someone out there will take my place... I know it..."

"You're doing this because of Elias," said Maria. "Not for your country."

"Well at least for the first time I'm not doing this for myself!" shouted Simoun. "And... I guess now I'm doing this for two more people... Lay low for a while, Maria..."
