"Where are we going?" asked Ventura, as Ricardo drove them in the countryside. They drove a black van in the night.
"You're going training," replied Ricardo.
"Where?" asked Ventura.
"Close by," said Ricardo.
"You do realize that you basically kidnapped me, right?" asked Ventura.
"Yeah, but I heard nobody cares about you, so..." replied Ricardo.
"Ricardo!" shouted Arthur. "He's right, though, Ventura. Get more friends," he said, turning to Ventura. Ventura then sighed and bowed his head after.
"Imagine if the Vampires were to lose the Philippines, their last chance to rule the world. Imagine a world where we don't rule. Five thousand years ago, we would have survived. However, today, we will easily be outnumbered by them. Seven Billion to a few thousand, Humans rule this world that we lived in. We live in a world that belongs to the enemy. And when the tables are turned, our people will vanish in the tides of time. It's only a matter of time that our people would have to scramble all over the globe and one by one are killed by the Grimms. This is why I must keep these Humans in line.
The reason why Crisostomo Ibarra lost was that he was driven by wrath. What the Grimms need is a Grimm who is driven by love, but Grimms do not love. Thus, I am absolutely, positively, a hundred percent sure that humanity will be beneath our feet."
*vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooo*
The van kept on driving at the maximum speed (that's legal) as the trio drove towards whatever the destination is.
"You're a coward, Arthur," said Ricardo, as he ate a twinkie. He checks his locket for a second and closes it, sighing. "You've gotta work on your courage."
"I'm not a coward," said Arthur, as he crossed his arms and looked out the window.
"You run away from every fight in your school that you can't handle. Instead of taking the beating for your own and other's mistakes, you run away," said Ricardo.
Arthur takes a deep breath with a touch of wrath.
"Mr. Ricardo, I don't think-...." Ventura was stopped by Arthur with a pat on the shoulder.
"And you..." said Ricardo. "You're not even a man... You are a Grimm who I don't even consider a man. Why?
Because like Arthur, you're a coward... The only difference is that Arthur is capable of tricking his enemies... but he's quick to anger. You, meanwhile, are an idiot but are composed. I need to train both of you idiots...
Your problem is that you don't believe in anyone or anything, not even yourself. You're a coward, but unlike Arthur, you don't put your trust in yourself or others. Grow some balls, nerd."
"Huh?" asked Ventura, as he puts the locket in the cupholder. "Wait..." he thought, since, for some reason, the locket appeared on his hand. Ventura checks Ricardo who is too focused on the road. He checks Arthur, but he seems to be frustrated and is just looking outside. So, he opens the locket. Ventura's eyes widen.
"Who are these people?" he asked himself.
There, he saw an image of Ricardo with another person. She is a woman. The woman holds a child, while Ricardo smiles for the camera. The second image is of a man with the same woman and Ricardo beside them. This time, the baby isn't there. They all pose for the camera with their Stands out. Ricardo has a gun, the man had a sword, and the woman had green vines around her body. The locket says, "To Edgar."
