Chapter XXXI: End of the World~Part I~

*BOOM*

The temple they were in is now in ruins. The Crusaders make a run for it.

"I didn't think that Salvi's army was already here!" shouted Miguel. 

"We should search for the commandments," said Arthur. "One is with Salvi's army back in the temple. The other is at the secret archives up north!"

"Wait!" shouted Jessica. "Let's split up. I will go with Miguel and Kariel. Anne, Jedan, and Arthur... You guys should go somewhere else."

"Why are we splitting up?" asked Miguel.

"She's right. Miguel, Jessica, and Kariel... You three go get the commandments. We go get the Ark," said Arthur. "Cavalry is on its way. Stephen, over," said Arthur, speaking to his radio.

"Yes, sir, over?" he asked, smiling. 

"I want you to pick us up," said Arthur. "Pick us up on the Beach of San Dominador. Over."

"Yes sir. Over," said Stephen.

The Crusaders nod to each other.

"Wait..." said Anne, as she grabbed Miguel's face. "Be careful."

"I will," he smiled.

"No," said Anne. "Even if I won't be with you tomorrow. Even if we aren't together tomorrow... Please... be careful."

Jessica stares and frowns, seeing that this might really be the end. She knows something that they don't. And now she's thinking that Anne knows it, too.

"We're a family!" scoffed Jedan. "We can't all be gone! Right? What kinda Stand-User could get us killed?"

"Salvi and Kira?" asked Anne.

"I heard Salvi got way stronger by the way... Yeah..." said Arthur.

"Thanks for keeping up the good mood, guys. Great job with the positivity," said Miguel.

"Why thank you," said Kariel.

"Kariel, you didn't even speak," said Miguel. Everyone but Anne laughed.

Anne only chuckled softly. "This is the end. The End of the World," she whispered.

This is the end. The End of the World.

Meanwhile...

"Salvi! Salvi!!!" howled Diablo. "We've been defeated!"

"Have you, now?" asked Salvi, emerging from the darkness.

"I know that you're doing this because you have daddy issues or whatever-..."

Salvi grabs Diablo by the throat. "My father... never loved me... Damaso... however... my true father... is who I'm ultimately grateful for. He was my only family... and everything that had happened to me in the past... when I became a world-famous Priest... was all because of him... He gave me meaning... A purpose... That is why I do this. Because I am grateful for everything he had done..."

"I... *choke*... See... Lord Salvi..." he choked.

Miguel, Jessica, and Kariel ran toward the ten commandments. They appeared at the Archives. It is a large stone building in the middle of the forest. Monkeys are heard cackling in the distance. The three entered the large gate at the center of the building.

The three snuck in.

"So!" shouted Kariel. "What do you think is gonna happen in Justice League 4?"
