Wow, the flight to Utah was definitely a lot faster than I expected. It only took us an hour to get here from Los Angeles, California. The whole team decided to take some pictures as souvenirs while we were at the airport, and I couldn't resist posting them on my social media. Elliot and I took plenty of photos together on the plane, and it was such a blast traveling with him. We talked about his experiences traveling to different states for volleyball, and he told me that the best way to travel is by land because you get to see so many places. I couldn't agree more! Even though it takes a while to get to your destination, traveling by bus is definitely worth it.

I was thrilled to find out that Elliot and I share a common interest, and he never got tired of sharing his stories with me. We even shared our preference for music, and he introduced me to some R&B tracks by Chris Brown. In return, I showed him some of my favorite tracks by Donna Summers and Paula Abdul. He even called me a "Diva" because of my song preference, but I couldn't help but smile.

When we arrived at 3:00 PM, we hopped on a bus that would take us to the hotel that our school had rented for us. The view here is absolutely breathtaking, and the cold breeze reminded me of the snowy mountain towering over the city. This is such a different experience from Long Beach! There are so many trees here, and the houses are much more spacious. It's cold, but the views are mesmerizing.

Our coach had arranged for us to participate in their fall sports competition, in addition to our training. We arrived at a fancy hotel in the city, but unfortunately, we had to share a room with two of our teammates since we only reserved five rooms. And to make things even more awkward, my roommates were TJ and Elliot. I sighed, knowing that this was going to be an uncomfortable situation.

After unpacking my things and laying on my bed for a while, Elliot started a conversation with TJ. Although TJ responded, I could sense that he was distant from us, or maybe just from me. They both changed their clothes and got ready for dinner, while I collected my clothes and went into the restroom inside our room to freshen up a bit. I put on a short and a hoody jacket since it was cold here, even though our room heater was on.

Minutes later, the coaches visited our room to inform us that we'd be having dinner outside. The diner was called Black Bear Diner, and I was mesmerized by how beautiful this state is so far. It was organized, clean, and amazing. The diner was cozy, with a great ambiance, and I knew they would serve great food.

The dinner was so much fun, and we all enjoyed the food. It was such a good experience that I knew I would definitely go back here. Before heading back to the hotel, my teammates and I decided to explore the city for a while because we knew that tomorrow would be the start of our busy days. It was my first time in Utah, and I could tell that this state had so much promise. I was in love with this place, and I couldn't blame the others, especially Elliot, for looking at me weirdly. Being a first-class immigrant, I don't get to visit places like this often, so I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to take some pictures.

As we made our way back to the hotel, the tension was palpable. TJ was not speaking to us and it felt awkward. I decided to break the silence and lighten up the mood by interviewing them. I started asking TJ questions and he was surprisingly cooperative. He shared with us that football was his first love but he became interested in volleyball after seeing how it works in Long Beach. Elliot, on the other hand, played volleyball in middle school. They then asked me the same question and I told them that volleyball was my first sport as well.

I continued the conversation by asking them about their aspirations for the future. TJ replied timidly that he just wants to play for nationals. Elliot, on the other hand, confidently stated that he wants to play at the professional level. TJ and I looked at him curiously before nodding in agreement. We talked about different topics before deciding to call it a night.

The next morning, I woke up before 7 and decided to take a shower. Elliot and TJ were still asleep, so I didn't want to disturb them. As I was freshening up, I heard a knock on the restroom door. TJ had come in, and I was shocked to see him as the shower enclosure was made of glass. I tried to cover myself with steam, but I knew he was watching me. He stayed for a while before leaving the shower room.

After I finished my shower, it was TJ's turn. Elliot was still sleeping, so I decided to wake him up. As I did so, he grabbed me and snuggled with me, causing me to laugh. He pulled me to his bare chest, and I couldn't help but notice that both he and TJ slept without shirts on.

When TJ was done, it was Elliot's turn to shower. As he changed, he faced me and said confidently, "It's not like you haven't seen this before." I rolled my eyes and replied, "Creep," as he smirked.

We were then visited by one of our coaches who took us to the training gym. As we arrived, we saw many players training from other schools that will participate in the fall sports competition here in Salt Lake City. Our coaches had told us that we would match up with these schools.

We did our warmups and started the One day League with other teams. Throughout the day, we battled different teams, winning most of the time. However, we lost twice, and our team decided that we didn't want to lose again, as the punishment was dolphin diving all over the gym floor, which was exhausting.

After our second loss, we regrouped and won every game after that. We impressed everyone with our skills, and the Volleyball Organization scouts were observing our games. I was used throughout the day as we trained, and I was able to dig, cover, and surprisingly earn many points with my float services.

Other teams saw us as a threat to their spot in the fall sports that would start the day after tomorrow. These teams were good in their own way, some with superb offenses but needing improvement in defense. However, with my teammates, we had an advantage in terms of height, and receiving was not a problem because of Seth and me. Kudos to our setter who ran our attack, leading us to victory.

After the day's games, our coaching staff took us to one of the best hot tub resorts in Salt Lake City. We relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the day, ready for the upcoming fall sports competition.

Being a part of this training camp has been an amazing opportunity, and I feel so fortunate and grateful to be here. Today, we had the chance to unwind and have some fun at Crystal Hot Springs, and it was an experience like no other. The natural hot springs were incredibly soothing and relaxing, and we all enjoyed soaking in the warm water and taking in the beautiful scenery around us.

After our time at the hot springs, we made our way back to the hotel feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It had been a long day of training and playing games, and we were all looking forward to getting some rest. As we settled into our rooms, I couldn't help but reflect on how much I've learned and grown during this camp so far.

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such talented and dedicated athletes, and being able to train and compete alongside them has been an incredible experience. I'm grateful for the support of our coaches and staff, who have pushed us to be our best and helped us develop our skills both on and off the court.

As I lay down to rest, I know that tomorrow will bring another challenging and rewarding day of training and competition. But for now, I'm just grateful
