There was silence in Mr. Adeleke's office as with the gun pinned to his forehead he couldn't utter a word for fear of being shot. The woman  raised a finger to her mouth as a way of telling him to keep quiet. Then in a low voice she told him,

"See who it is but don't do anything stupid, okay?" He nodded, cleared his throat and got up. The woman quickly put her gun back inside her bag and went to sit down.

"Who is it?" asked, Mr. Adeleke as he approached the door. Without waiting for a response, he opened the door only to see Abisola quickly rush in.

"Abisola, can't you see I'm busy?" The woman turned to face Abisola and when their eyes met, Abisola blinked and looked at the woman firmly. She felt she knew the woman who was sitting down smiling at her. "So why did you come?" Abisola ignored the question as she kept staring at the woman.

"Abisola, I asked you a question." Abisola quickly turned, faced her boss who had closed the door and apologized to him.

"Sorry sir, I had no idea that you were busy. I can come back later."
"What was so urgent for you to come?" Abisola sighed, but opened the door.

"I can come back later, sir. Sorry to disturb you." Immediately she left the office and went back to the newsroom confused. The woman she had seen with her boss looked quite familiar to her. Where have I seen her? She asked herself, as she sat down. With her hands to her jaws she tried to think of where she had seen the woman. Then her phone rang and she looked at the display.

It was her boyfriend, Femi.

Instantly her thoughts went back to the woman again. She realized that the woman looked much like the same woman that had sat beside her at the hospital reception. It can't be her. She shrugged and answered the call.

"Hello Femi is everything alright?"

"Babe, I'm fine. I just wanted to hear your voice."  Abisola wasn't happy he had called. The thought that another woman had visited him while she was there at the hospital was foremost on her mind. She had taken it to mean that he was seeing someone else.  And she was still bitter about it.

"Ah okay, is that all?" She asked, unwilling to engage in any conversation with him.

"Aha, what is the meaning of that?" He asked getting angry.

"Femi, it means what it means, okay?"

"Seriously, Abisola are you out of your mind?"

"Femi don't talk to me like that, okay?!" She said, raising her voice.

"Hey, babe stop right there!" His response was also harsh making Abisola get more angry. In her annoyance she cut the call. Femi called immediately but she refused to pick up the call. Ojo came in and hearing the phone ring told her,

"Abisola, are you not answering the phone?" She looked angrily at him.

"Is that the job you are supposed to be doing?"

"Who knows, maybe it's your friend, the one that passes you information." Abisola wasn't happy that he was reminding her of Jamaica. Being reminded of her always sparked memories of the incident at the restaurant. She didn't know what to tell him and simply said,

"I blame you." Ojo looked into her eyes making Abisola blush like a teenage girl. He then smiled at her and said,

"I keep asking myself why a beautiful woman like you is always tormented." Abisola rolled her eyes and looked away, "and I came to the conclusion that you need serious deliverance." Abisola sighed and simply stared at him without responding to his provocation. She watched as he kept talking and talking. Then when he stopped he placed a hand on her shoulders.
