Abisola's surprise was immense as the man mentioned Sambo Constructions. Her curiosity intensified as she felt that finally, she was about to get some more information on the story. This to her meant that she could avoid trying to get that information from Jamaica.
"Do you know about it?" She asked, as she looked into his eyes. The man sighed and smiled at her.
"Sambo constructions was in the news. Of course, everybody knows about it." Abisola rolled her eyes as this wasn't what she was expecting to hear.
"Well I am about to get fired by my boss over this useless story." The man felt concerned for her plight and took her into his arms.
"Well as they say, when one door closes, another one opens."
"Yes, I wish it was easy getting another job.""So what are you going to do about it? And by the way why does he want to fire you over that story." Abisola breathed hard and then got her bag and brought out her phone. She swiped the phone until she found a picture of Jamaica.
"It all started with this woman." She showed him the picture, " her name is Agnes." The man looked at the picture of Jamaica and nodded his head.
"She's beautiful." he remarked.
"She is my childhood friend, much like a sister. Then recently, she did something terrible which she keeps denying she didn't do."
"And what exactly did she do?" Abisola looked at him and felt discouraged from telling him about the incident at the restaurant. She had already told the governor what had happened and even then, she regretted her action when Jamaica asked her why she had told the governor. "What if she sends someone to kill me? Abisola didn't know why Jamaica had asked her that question. But when Jamaica left, she began asking herself if the governor could really do such a thing.
"That is between the two of us."
"Ah, okay if you say so." The man responded. "So what happened?""Well, each morning my colleague would bring in the news and while I was preparing to go live, she would call to say she heard a rumor. The rumors were all related to the killing of the three men and how they were tied to Sambo Constructions." The man frowned and looked at Abisola.
"Are you serious?" He asked, as he listened.
"My colleague was there each time she called so he knows about it."
"So where was she getting the rumors?"
"It is something she refuses to tell me."
"So, is that why you wanted to see me?" Abisola nodded. She swiped her phone again and brought up the picture of the woman who had come to see her boss."Then this woman appears to me out of no where. I am convinced she is the same woman that sat next to me at the hospital. Then again I see her in my boss's office."
"And you think it is this same woman?" He asked, taking the phone from her hand and looking at the woman. Abisola nodded.
"She's beautiful." he remarked again. Abisola sighed and immediately took the phone from him.
"Men, you see? You are with me and yet you have eyes for another woman."
"But is there anything wrong in admiring her? I mean admiration is not love.""Am I not beautiful enough for you?" The man embraced her and gave her a kiss.
"Abisola you and I spend very little time together."
"I know."
"And you meeting me today is just because you need help." Abisola sighed, and leaned against him.
