As Tony and Jamaica stood in front of her, Abisola had no choice but to look at them. Alex stood by the kitchen door watching to see what would happen. He was poised to see some reaction from both women as they stared at each other. But he was shocked to see that they both behaved  respectfully.

"How is the wine Abisola, are you enjoying it?" Tony said, while Jamaica scanned the restaurant.

"Oh, it's good. In fact, It's really refreshing." She replied, as she held up her glass to take a sip.
"I brought someone to keep you company." Abisola  ignored him as she looked at Jamaica. "Meet Agnes. Agnes, this is Abisola." Tony observed the two women as without uttering any word, they nodded their heads at each other and then looked away. Tony saw what had happened but pulled out a chair for Jamaica to sit.

"Oh Agnes, please sit down and let me get you an empty glass." He left immediately leaving the two women alone. Jamaica sat down and looked sharply at her friend. She had a feeling that Abisola coming to the restaurant was upon Alex's insistence. But she also thought that Abisola might have also told Alex what she had told the governor.

She fixed a strong stare at her friend who only looked away. Jamaica then turned her attention towards the kitchen door and seeing it was closed, took the time to talk to her friend.

"What have you done this time, Abisola?" Abisola ignored her and sipped her wine carefully while Jamaica continued talking.  "Telling the governor was bad enough, but telling this guy makes it look like you really want something terrible to happen to me." Abisola looked at Jamaica feeling disgusted by her presence.

Her bitterness for Jamaica was growing each day as each time she saw her, it reminded her of the incident at the restaurant. She was offended by Jamaica accusing her of telling Alex about her and decided to respond.

"Are you guilty of wrong doing?"

"Me, guilty? What for?"

"Then why do you think people are out to harm you?"

"Because they do not live responsible lives." Abisola raised her eyebrows and stared at Jamaica. She was shocked and really had a hard time believing that Jamaica herself could say that; and especially after what she felt Jamaica had done to Femi. She giggled and responded by saying,

"And do you live a responsible life?"

"You should be asking yourself that question, first." Jamaica responded.

"Yes, I guess seeing me here you might be wondering what I am doing, right?"

"You have every right to be here. But just don't make it a habit of trusting every guy you sleep with." Abisola laughed as she felt this comment was a provocation.

"And should you be bothered about whom I sleep with? Aren't you doing the same?"

"Abisola, I don't have a lot of replacements like you do." Abisola closed her eyes in anger taking a deep breath to control herself. She knew Jamaica was provoking her and it was about to have its effect on her.

"How are you too getting along with each other?" Tony had come back with an empty glass in his hand and this made Abisola relax and smile again. Jamaica looked into his eyes as he dropped the glass on the table and asked him,

"What took you so long to come?" Tony smiled as he poured the wine into the glass and gave it to her.

"Oh, men talk. We were having a nice conversation." Jamaica sipped her wine and put it down and observed him. She kept wondering what connected the two men so much as to have a conversation in the kitchen. Then she remembered how at the meeting, Frank had talked about someone about to be replaced. She suddenly stared at Tony in a manner that shocked Tony himself. Could he be the one they want to replace?
