Abisola felt dejected as she stared at the kitchen door. Her focus was so strong that Alex felt like she would get up and barge into the kitchen and pick up a fight with Jamaica. He knew it was a possibility, something he just hoped would happen so he could see Jamaica in action and assess her fighting skills. But he reasoned that if she had such skills, she wouldn't entertain a fight but walk away.
"Abisola, there's no need to look at the kitchen door. Those two love birds might somehow be busy." Abisola turned and stared at him.
"So after turning my life upside down, she is in there enjoying herself?"
"Well, has she stopped you from enjoying yourself?" Abisola sighed and picked up her glass.
"You are right. I think I'm wasting my time over her when she is not even bothered."
"Oh, she is just taking life easy, unlike you." Abisola frowned as she sipped her wine and put the glass down. She still needed to find a way to get even with her best friend. There had to be a way for her to do that. This led her to think over the question that Alex had asked her earlier.
Have you ever asked your boyfriend what went on between the two of them? It was a question that annoyed her but made sense now that she wanted to find a way to get even with Jamaica.
" I think I need to ask someone a very big question." She said, nodding her head slowly as she looked at Alex calculatingly. Alex knew who she was referring to and smiled. He knew she had finally decided to ask her boyfriend what happened between him and Jamaica. For him it was good because he could finally know why Jamaica had shot Femi.
"I think it is better that way before you plan on doing anything to your friend, or enemy as you now call her." Abisola ignored him and got up surprising Alex himself.
"And where are you going now?" He asked seeing she had picked up her bag.
"I told you what I planned on doing." She told him
"And you want to do it now?" Abisola nodded, " but food is about to be served."
"I just lost my appetite." She said, staring at him awkwardly. Alex sighed and got up shaking his head. He headed to the kitchen, knocked and went in.
"Tony we are about to leave."
"Sir, but...."
"It's Abisola she says she doesn't feel too well. Stomach upset. " Jamaica was surprised to hear that Abisola had suddenly decided to leave. With arms folded, she kept looking at Alex as both men talked. She knew something was amiss and was curious to know what it was. As both men kept talking she left the kitchen and went to meet Abisola.Abisola seeing her coming towards her, sighed and looked away. Jamaica saw what she did but only smiled as she walked up to her.
"Abisola sorry to hear you have stomach issues and want to leave." Abisola was startled hearing Jamaica tell her that she had stomach problems. But she knew it was Alex inventing an excuse for them to leave.
"Agnes I will be alright. At least, I have not been shot, like Femi." Jamaica laughed.
"Abisola, I am not out to harm you. I hope one day you will come to realize that." Abisola sighed and gave Jamaica a strong stare.
"For once I want to believe you, but now I don't know who you are at all."
"I am still your best friend."
"Not anymore, Agnes. So please stay out of my life okay?" Jamaica looked at her friend and sighed. She wasn't worried about what Abisola said. What worried her was Abisola getting entangled with Alex. Looking at her friend from head to toe, she wondered if Abisola knew about Alex's involvement with Bisi.
