Jamaica was staring at the image of Tony and the only thing that she could do was to keep staring at it. Her phone had fallen but she wasn't interested in picking it up. Someone's life was in danger. Someone that meant more to her than the phone, had been condemned and she was a living witness to it.
"Orders have been given that this man should be taken out. His fault? He has succeeded in hijacking every operation assigned to him which he could have carried out successfully. This has placed the higher ups in a difficult position. Frank, he is the replacement that you overheard in that conversation at the Lounge Bar."
"Do we know anything about him?" Frank asked, "I mean, his profile?"
Duke tossed a glance at Jamaica as Frank picked up her phone and gave it to her."Thank you, Frank." She looked at the phone with the display broken.
"Don't mention, it." He said. Jamaica breathed hard at knowing that Tony was sentenced to death. Her whole world was about to fall apart. Her uncle it seemed was closing in on her."Agnes are you alright?" Duke asked a question knowing he had somehow upset her with the news about Tony's elimination.
"Yes, uncle." She sighed her helplessness as Duke continued to talk about Tony.
"The information sent in is that he owns a restaurant on Lagos Island, but this is something he uses as cover. In reality...," Duke stared intensely at Jamaica making all the others turn their attention towards her. "The truth is he is a hired assassin." Everybody shifted in their chairs as Duke mentioned the word, assassin. Jamaica's head swelled hearing that Tony was a hitman. This was too much for her.
She wanted to tell her uncle to stop but knew that this would make her look suspicious in the eyes of her uncle. Finally, before her very eyes she was getting a look into Tony's life.
"The odd thing about this guy that was also sent in is that...," Duke looked at Jamaica again with strong concern. He was unmasking Tony before her very eyes. Jamaica was aware that he knew about her relationship with Tony quite well. And if he was sharing so much details, he was doing it to humiliate her, but also to see her reaction.
However, she suppressed the willingness to react. She had to know all about Tony and if this was that moment when all information concerning Tony was being exposed, then she had to accept the fact that she couldn't do anything to stop it. Duke took out two more pictures and pinned them to the board. He then turned around and looked at everyone.
" This is his family-the wife and their two kids." Jamaica closed her eyes and bent her head down. Finally, she now knew that the woman she saw going into Tony's restaurant, with the two kids, was Tony's family. " I pity that family." Duke took a deep breath and shook his head, "but what must be done must be done." He added.
" What is the plan, sir?" Frank said.
"He will be in PH. Information sent in indicates that he's going there to stop Shedrach. It is not certain how he intends to do that but Shedrach is scheduled to be in Lagos three days from now." Jamaica remembered the words of Mr. Shehu immediately.Get to him first before someone else does, was what he had told her. Jamaica knew that Mr. Shehu meant what he said. She was now convinced that Tony had gone to kill Mr. Shehu in his office. Her disappointment was immense now that she knew the true identity of the man that she had fallen in love with. He had lied to her from the very beginning, but had also made himself look completely innocent.
"Does that mean, he might try to kill Shedrach?" Frank said.
" The intention is to silence Shedrach, so yes. But we are going to stop him before he carries out the hit." Duke folded his arms and looked squarely at Jamaica. His agreement with Alex was to bring both she and Tony in one place and have them killed.
