The look on the hotel manager's face was one that conveyed fear and a huge sense of loss. He had no idea how the hotel he was tasked to manage, had turned into a deadly crime scene.

For forty-eight year old Godwin Peters, being the manager of a prestigious hotel was a responsibility that he carried with pride. The hotel being a five star hotel had all the modern amenities to cater to every customer's need.

Business had picked up after a rocky season in which bookings were extremely low, and hotel rooms were empty. Then things started to pick up, and Godwin was poised to see an increase in the number of bookings.

His optimism soared as he realized that he was moving into a bumper season. With such optimism, he least expected the third floor of the hotel, to be invaded by the police.

Tony had struggled to get up after Bisi had shot him. As she left, he kept struggling to get inside his room when the manager passing by, saw him. He quickly alerted the police and then called for an ambulance service. Two police vans with eight police officers, arrived at the hotel.

Once they got to the third floor, the officer in charge immediately ordered the third floor to be sealed off. He saw Tony lying on the floor in a pool of blood. He then ordered Tony's room to be kept off limits, and positioned two officers on both sides of the door.

Inspector Dike looked up at the ceiling of the third floor. Four security cameras were positioned along the length of the corridor. Anyone with the intention of committing a murder could have avoided taking the shots. The presence of the security cameras was enough to scare them away.

"Manager are these security cameras working?" He said, as he pointed to each one of them. The manager looking confused. He had no idea if they were working or not.

"Ehm to the best of my knowledge, they are in good working condition." Inspector Dike raised an eyebrow. He felt that the manage was out of his mind.

"What do you mean they are in good working condition? Am I buying them?"
Ehm, no sir. It's just that..."
"So as the manager of a five-star hotel, you don't even know if your security cameras are working or not?" Inspector Dike expected a prompt response but got silence. He scratched his head.

"By the way, who made you the manager of this hotel?" He asked
"Sir, I have my Masters in Hotel Management." Inspector Dike laughed.

"I now see why you are not concerned about the security of the hotel."

"Sir, my responsibilities also entails ensuring that there is adequate security."

"Then how do you explain what happened here?" As they were talking an officer came rushing up the stairway to meet Inspector Dike.

"Excuse me, sir?" Inspect Dike turned and saw the officer panting,

"Yes, what is it?"

"Sir, we found a dead body in one of the rooms in the adjacent hotel."

"God, I am finished!" Said the hotel manager, putting his hands over his head. He folded his hands and slowly shook his head as tears flooded his eyes. "Oh my God! Why? Why?" Inspector Dike walked up to him and annoyingly said,

"So manager, you even have eyes to cry? All this wouldn't have happened if the security cameras were working."
"Sir, it's not like that." He said in between tears.

"My friend will you shut up? If you can't run a hotel why even accept to be the manager?"Inspector Dike expressed his disappointment at how the manager had left the hotel unchecked.

"Fine, since you can't do your job I will have to do it for you." Inspector Dike gave orders for the police officers not to allow anyone near the crime scene. "Oya, manager? Take me to the control room, right now!" The manager was shocked at the pressure being put on him by Insector Dike.
