"We're being sent to a different mission again?" Dustin asked. "We already did one, why're we already doing another one?"
"Site director's orders, Dustin." Riley answered.
The group were now on their helicopter, heading towards Mount Everest. The site director had another mission for them, making sure to secure another SCP of interest.
"We have another mission already?" Drista asked.
"Yeah, the site director wants us to resecure an SCP in the Himalayas." Riley answered. "SCP-1529, also known as 'The King of The Mountain'."
"So, we're resecuring this SCP?" Freddie asked.
"Yeah, although I haven't even heard of this SCP before." Riley answered. "So, this is a first-hand experience for all of us."
"Hey, the SCP sounds pretty chill to me." Adrian spoke. "I mean come on, this guy is in the top of the mountain."
"Well, its class is a Euclid..." Riley replied.
"Then he might give us the cold shoulder then?"
"Sounds like it." Freddie replied.
The group started to talk amongst themselves, but Dustin was still a bit concerned about his wound from the last mission. It was bandaged, so the wound can properly heal.
"How's the scar treating ya?"
The athlete looked to his left and saw Cunningham looking back at him, with worrisome eyes.
"Kinda feel better honestly..." Dustin answered. "This'll take a while to heal, pretty deep scar..."
"What happened in there anyway?" Cunningham asked.
"Well, we got attacked by this... thing. I didn't know what it was but it's a lady with bird wings." Dustin explained. "Just weird as all hell..."
"Must've been a pain to deal with, huh?" Cunningham asked. "Gave ya a pretty scar to go with it. Like Greg over there."
Cunningham pointed to Sodokin, who was sitting across from them, and he gave a thumbs up.
"Well, his healed over and I'm sure yours will."
"Thanks for the motivation, Ari..." Dustin replied, smiling slightly.
"No problem, just checking in if you're alright." Cunningham beamed in reply.
"Alright, we're at the foot of the mountain." the pilot announced. "Everyone, pack up and move out."
"Thanks as always, Pat." Riley replied. "Alright, everyone move out. We got a mountain to climb."
With that the group prepared their oxygen tanks, necessary equipment, and their SOPMOD M4A1 rifles, then left the helicopter. The landing zone was at an even footing, at an altitude of 4000 feet above the ground.
"Alright, everyone stay close." Riley told the group. "We have a long way up to get to the SCP."
"Then let's get to walking..." Freddie said.
With that, the group started to walk upwards to the top of the mountain, where the SCP resides. They were to resecure it, and signal the Foundation about it.
-----
"Man, this place is so f-f-frigid!" Adrian shivered at the surrounding temperature.
"Get used to it, Adrian." Riley replied. "We're supposed to handle sub-zero temperatures when we're working for the Foundation."
