The sun was now rising on the horizons, marking the dawn of a new day. Dustin had already woken up hours before but he didn't feel tired, not even in the slightest.
"Fucking hell..." Dustin sighed. "Didn't get much sleep..."
He looked to his left, over to the others. Both Adrian and Freddie were still asleep.
"What time is it...?"
Dustin stood up and looked for anything to tell the time, darting his eyes around the room. He then noticed the clock in the room, reading 5:26 in the morning.
"Shit..." Dustin sighed.
Dustin then laid back down on his bed and tried to relax himself, but all of the events from last night had really changed the entire group. He closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep again.
From there, he had remembered everything that had happened to him last night. From him being labelled an SCP, to the escape, and now being protected by the Serpent's Hand.
He was hoping that everything will come back to normal.
Then a red figure plagued his mind, growing closer and closer, he could hear his name being called.
"Dustin... Dustin... Dustin..."
Dustin opened his eyes and he saw Freddie in front of him, trying his hardest to wake him up.
"Huh...?" Dustin reacted. "Freddie?"
"Hey, you, you're finally awake." Adrian said in the background. "You were trying to cross the border, right?"
"Adrian, now's not the time." Freddie told him.
"Man... you're no fun..." Adrian sulked.
"Anyways..." Freddie looked back at the athlete. "How are you holding up, Dustin? Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine..." Dustin answered.
"Alright..." Freddie said. "Come on, we need to get ready for the day. We have some things that Anthony wants us to do."
"Yeah, alright..." Dustin sighed, standing up from his bed. "Where's the bathroom here?"
"Over there." Adrian pointed to a door. "Nothing really changed at all..."
"Thanks."
Dustin went over to the bathroom, to freshen himself up for the day. It took him under ten minutes to get himself ready, very usual for him.
"Alright, we're all ready to go?" Freddie asked.
"Yeah." Adrian and Dustin nodded.
With that, Freddie opened the door out to the hallway and saw Riley waiting for the group, leaning his back against the concrete wall.
"Ah, there you guys are." Riley greeted.
"Morning, Billy." Adrian greeted back.
"Where's Drista?" Freddie asked.
"I'm just waiting for her." Riley answered.
Adrian went over and knocked on the door to Drista's room, in an effort to wake her up.
"Hey, Drista!" Adrian called out.
A few seconds of silence ensued.
"What?" Drista asked from inside her room, her voice sounding agitated.
"Hey, Drista..." Freddie's voice replaced Adrian's. "Come on, we have some work to do with the Serpent's Hand today. We can't keep them waiting."
"Alright..." Drista replied. "Just give me a few minutes..."
