The task force had reached the surface and the others had began to breathe heavily, gathering fresh air in their lungs.
"Okay, we made it. Thank god..." Adrian then turned to the others. "Is everyone else alright?"
"Yeah, I'm good." Iris responded.
"Sir, we're all good here!" Pavelski gave a thumbs up.
"We're fine as well, sir." Pulman responded.
"Alright, good, we all made it..." Adrian then realised that he left the commander behind. "Well, most of us... fuck!"
"What's wrong?" the teenage girl asked.
"Nothing... it's really nothing to worry about..." the joker then sighed. "Right now, we need to get to shore before we get eaten by something out here."
"Sir, there's the shore over there." the Polish-American recruit pointed to their west.
The task force looked to see that there was the nearest beach, however, it was a considerable distance away from them. They looked around for any beaches closer to them, but to no avail.
"Well... it's all we got." Adrian responded. "Alright, let's hope the DPVs are gonna do us well, and let's hope we make it. Same plan, everyone got that?"
"Yes, sir."
With that, the three began to propel themselves towards the shoreline with the DPVs, with the others holding on to whoever they held onto earlier.

Meanwhile in the site, Captain Polonskaya was waiting for a sort of update from the mission. She had been expecting one for a while, but nothing came through.
"Davidson, where's that update?" the captain muttered to herself. "I'm still waiting, and yet you refuse to give me one."
Then a soldier came in the captain's office, his face signifying something of importance.
"Ma'am, there's something that came in." the soldier said to the captain.
"What is it?"
"Ma'am, the SCPF Eremita sank a few moments ago." the soldier responded. "As of this moment, we have no idea of the whereabouts nor status of the task force."
The captain was surprised to hear this news. She became nervous about the task force, as she regretted the decision to send them to the SCP's location. However, she didn't give up on them just yet.
"They may be KIA, ma'am."
"Nyet! I wouldn't believe that I sent the Omega-7 to their demise!" the captain raised her voice, then sighed. "Do you know how to work a tracking system?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good, now I want you to give me an update on their current location via the task force's tracking devices." the captain then got a sheet of paper from a stack on her desk and handed it to the soldier. "There are the listed members and the device serial numbers."
"Yes, ma'am." the soldier saluted. "I'll get you an update as soon as possible."
With that, the soldier left the captain's office. The captain sat back down by her desk and sighed. She could only hope that the task force would somehow make it out alive, but she couldn't help but regret the decision of sending them there.

"Alright... whew... we made it!"
Adrian dropped the DPV on the beach and stumbled into the beach, causing grains of sand to stick to his scuba outfit. The others were equally exhausted by the escape and laid down on the beach to rest for a short while.
