"Okay, sweetie, let's try this one more time..."
An intoxicated man slammed the door shut.
"I had enough of running your fucking mouth, so just shut the fuck up!"
"Daddy?" his young daughter asked, scared for her life.
"Honey?" the man's wife tried to calm down her husband.
"I have had it with you and your pretty princess bullshit!" the man shouted, his speech still slurred. "All of this is just a fucking waste of space!"
"Honey, can't you see that you're drunk?" his wife asked her husband.
"Daddy, please stop..." the daughter pleaded.
"You and your obsession with... useless, girly bullshit can go to hell!" the man shouted. "Going straight down to hell, where they fucking belong!"
"Honey, please, calm down..." the wife pleaded with her husband and began to sob. "What more do you want?"
The parents had continued to argue with each other, screaming back and forth in front of their daughter, who was terrified as to what was happening.
"Mommy, daddy, please stop!" the daughter pleaded.
The parents had continued to argue with each other, to which it had escalated to a point where the mother had grabbed a handgun from the drawer and pointed it at her husband.
"Oh, so it has come to this, huh?" the man asked. "Is this it? So you're finally gonna do it, huh?"
"Please stop..." the wife sobbed. "I... I don't want to do this..."
"Do you even fucking see yourself right now?" the man asked. "You can't even give me a son and you pull a fucking gun on me, is that it? Huh?"
"Please, just leave!" the wife screamed at her husband. "Now!"
"Well, go ahead and do it!" the man screamed back. "Go and pull the fucking trigger! Do it!"
The two parents then converged into a struggle, which then resulted with two gunshots ringing out. This had terrified the daughter even more, making her scream and cry.
After a few seconds, a single gunshot was heard, and the daughter had continued to cry.
Present Day
"And that was the recording from the damaged camcorder that the Foundation found that day..." Athena spoke up. "Essentially, SCP-706 had been through a lot..."
"And the sounds of domestic violence validates that..." Freddie added. "She sounds like she's had it rough..."
"Right..."
Athena and Freddie were inside the office, watching the recording from the former home of an SCP from the archive room.
"Anyways, why did you call me, Athena?" Freddie asked the researcher.
"I was scheduled to have an interview with SCP-706, who was the child's voice from the recorded video..." Athena answered. "And I called you since... you haven't been in any tests for a while..."
"Yeah, it has been a while..." Freddie realised.
"Besides, maybe you could try to speak with her..." Athena continued. "Maybe you could do so because you have a caring nature..."
"Are you sure I can help you with this?" Freddie asked. "Isn't there anyone else that you could ask for this?"
"Well, Dustin is currently with SCP-053 at the moment, so I can't exactly interfere..." the researcher answered. "I could ask Drista but she's doing some errands for the captain, and I certainly can't ask for Adrian's help..."
