"So that's where he is?"
"Apparently..." the technician responded. "I mean... I don't know too much of the exact details, but this is what we could see..."
The technician, alongside the officers commanding Team Iris, were seeing the exact location as to where the firefight between the cultists and GOC operatives had taken place.
"It looks like it just happened a few hours ago..." the joker spoke up, then turned to the captain. "You sure we'll find anything there?"
"Possibly..." the captain nodded. "This may be useful to discover what Portnow has been doing all this time."
"Yeah, after... how many months?" Iris added. "I mean, there's gotta be something there that could help us."
"Well, you know where you're going now..." the colonel responded, crossing her arms. "Get in there, find what you can, then get back here."
"Hey, shouldn't we bring more people on this?"
"Seeing as this fight just happened, the less people we got, the better." the colonel answered. "And since this involves the GOC, of course they'll be there to clean this up."
"Be cautious." the captain warned. "Don't spend too much time than necessary. If you get caught, they will see you as a threat."
"Alright... got it." the joker understood, then turned to the technician. "Hey, pass me the coordinates, yeah?"
"I'll be directing you all the way, sir." the technician responded. "Just keep the tracker on."
"Now, go." the captain commanded. "We don't have much time to waste."
"Yeah, get to it!" the colonel barked further. "Just get some wheels and go!"
"Okay, okay, alright..." the joker responded. "Come on, Iris, let's go."
With that, the two scrambled out of the room, leaving their superiors with the technician. The colonel sighed, breaking the momentary silence.
"Scott, keep watch on that area." she said. "If there's one thing those GOC bastards are good at, it's being efficient."
"Alright, I'm on it."
"Ma'am, I don't think he can handle himself with a vehicle..." the captain told her superior. "We should at least have an additional man on board with them."
"Come on, Davidson's like what... twenty-three or something and Thompson's about to be twenty." the colonel responded. "I'm sure either of them can handle driving some wheels."
"Ma'am, both of them may crash the vehicle and get themselves hurt. Not to mention that he's not really the most reliable operative we have, and besides that could just--"
"Ugh... fine, okay, I guess one more guy wouldn't hurt..." the colonel groaned. "Who are you thinking?"
-----
After a few minutes of running, the two made it out to the field, where the two then started to look for a vehicle.
"Alright... let's get a ride and we'll be right off." the joker then turned to the teenage girl in tow. "Iris, you still with me?"
"Yeah..." the teenage girl nodded. "So... where are we gonna find a car to get there?"
"Uhh... there!"
The joker pointed to where a few black unmarked jeeps were parked.
"Come on, let's go!" the joker ran ahead. "If we hurry, we can make it before the GOC gets there, and we'll find what we're after."
