Hey guys, Umbrano here.
Finally, after three years, I have finally managed to finish this story with 173 story parts, which is what I had intended from the very start. I wanted it to end there since 173 was the very first SCP ever made, at the expense of the book dragging on for so long.
Again, apologies for that.
In hindsight, it was a pretty dumb idea for me to do so. With too many parts, I also had difficulty keeping up and leaving me with less time to review the story for any potential plot holes and retcons.
Anyways, those three endings are what end the story, you have either read all three of them or you haven't, and I just wanted to give a little mystery as to what happens in the story, and making you guess as to what the canon ending would be.
The answer as to what the canon ending is to this story, I'll let you be the judge of that since all of them are pretty much open-ended.
Now as to why this story dragged on for so long, well, that's because there's 173 parts and there's so many things stacking up in my life, mostly just school (currently a first-year in college), and a passion project that I had in mind alongside writing this thing out.
I'd like you to know that this will be my first and last big story on Wattpad, since I was just using this app for practice in writing a big story such as this.
(Alongside some other cringe stories on here in my younger years but let's forget about them.)
Sure, I've gotten numerous SCP details wrong in this story (probably in the triple digits or something noticeable), and yeah, the prologue kinda was a bit questionable now that I'm looking back at it, but I'll learn from all of this as to make better stories, even though I won't be coming back to this app.
As to where I'll be going moving forward, I'm currently learning how to draw anime/manga-styled things and I've always wanted to make a webcomic myself, so I'm moving on to somewhere like Webtoon or Tapas for a new environment.
If you have a different recommendation as to where I should go for making and publishing comics or manga, feel free to leave your thoughts here.
I'll be going by a new name different from Umbrano, and I'll be moving on from Wattpad completely.
I might as well post my Twitter and YouTube profile here. Feel free to follow me there if you want, because I'll be posting my progress on there whenever I got some time.
You can find me as @TheDarkPaladin6 on Twitter or "X" (fucking dumb move, Elon), and TheDarkPaladin on YouTube.
I had a lot of fun making this story, I just love the SCP fandom with a passion, but now that same passion is moving on elsewhere, to make something new for myself.
Before I end this here, I just wanna say, thank you for sticking around this story for so damn long. Honestly, I appreciate your patience to see this whole thing finished, both in reading and waiting for story parts. All criticism and compliments are appreciated, as I'll keep them to heart as I'm making my own brand new story.
Anyways, that's where I'm ending things here, both as Umbrano and as an author on Wattpad. It's been a ride, but all things must come to an end.
Take it easy, stay safe, and I'll see you when I see ya!
Umbrano, signing out!
