"Where is the disturbance?"
"Somewhere east from here, sir. About... two kilometres?"
"You're not sure, Chang?"
"Well, I wouldn't say that sir..." the Chinese-American operative responded. "Think of it as an approximation."
"Sir, I can attest to the direction." Da Chao spoke up. "As for the distance, we can suppose that it would be in the range of one to three kilometres."
"Thank you, Da Chao."
"Shut it, Chang." the older Chinese operative snapped back, then addressed their superior once more. "With all due respect, major, this is more than a disturbance."
"You're doubting me?" the commando asked. "Is that what you're telling me?"
"Sir, I'm only suggesting to bring support if you want to deal with this..." the older Chinese operative responded. "We picked up a lot of activity in that surrounding area, so I'd advise you to--"
"Enough, we're dealing with it and that's final." the commando responded. "If we leave it be, how long will it take until it harms innocent lives?"
"Sir, I understand that, but I don't think you should rush into this." Xiao Chao spoke up.
"She's right, sir." the Chinese-American operative nodded in agreement. "You only have one company here, and I don't think it'll be enough to deal with this."
"Do you realise who the hell you're talking to, Chang?"
"Yes, but--"
"If you're so adamant in asking for reinforcements, then go ahead." the commando continued. "But right now, there's a threat that needs to be neutralised, and I'm not letting any of you to prevent me from resolving it. Am I clear?"
"Y-Yes, sir."
The commando abruptly walked past the members of Hoplite Two, proceeding to rally the rest of his forces. As he did so, Hoplite Two proceeded to walk towards their own transport jeep.
"Listen, I know he's strict and all... but he's freaking me out." the Chinese-American operative spoke up. "Come on, tell me I'm not the only one."
"If he hears what you're saying right now, then he might berate you like never before." the older Chinese operative sighed. "You better get used to it, because I doubt that he'll be changing."
"I was used to the old him, not this one." the Chinese-American operative immediately replied, then turned to the younger Chinese operative. "Xiao, you notice it too, right?"
"Yeah... he's scaring me..." she nodded.
"You two need to grow more of a backbone." the older Chinese operative responded. "Both of you desperately need it."
"Then what're you gonna do?"
"Continue my work as normal." she shrugged. "Besides, I have no complaints about this."
"Da Chao, you must be blind or something..."
"A good soldier follows orders."
"But there has to be a limit to that, right?"
Da Chao ignored the Chinese-American operative and entered the jeep on the passenger's side.
"Right?"
"I don't think she'll listen to you." the younger Chinese operative told him. "I don't think she'll listen to me either."
"Whatever, she's not budging for anyone..." the Chinese-American operative responded. "Let's just go..."
