"Any clearings you can see, Edwards?"
"No, sir... I'll tell you when I see one."
"Alright, everyone else, keep hold."
Team Iris, along with SCP-507, had gone around the country in their helicopter, hoping that this would be the most efficient way to find the athlete. This is the second time that they had done so, although it was unsuccessful.
All of the team members were preparing for the time when the SCP suddenly shifts, with Adrian and Iris already holding on to either one of his arms.
"This is a bit unusual..." the SCP spoke up.
"Oh, am I holding on too tight?" Iris asked.
"Nah, it's not that..." the SCP responded. "It's just that I'm not used to it, that's all... well, I should be since it's already been months of this."
"Yeah, since you're the only one that could hopefully get us to where we need to be." the joker replied. "And hopefully, we'll all get out alive."
"Right..." the teenage girl responded. "Hope we can get him out of there..."
"Same here, Iris..." the joker nodded.
As for the rest of the team, all were getting ready for when the SCP might shift at any moment. Pulman was checking her equipment, although she had done so multiple times, Pavelski and Ryder were talking and Maccer was glancing around.
"Hey, Pommy." the Australian recruit called out to the British recruit.
"What?"
"You locked and ready to go or what?" the Australian recruit asked. "You've been obsessed with that thing for the past ten minutes."
"I'm just responsible of my equipment..." Pulman rolled her eyes. "Unlike some people, I actually take care of my weapons for whenever it is deemed necessary..."
"Sure..." the Australian recruit responded. "Clean freak..."
"What did you call me?"
"I didn't say anything, Pommy... you're hearing things" Maccer defended himself. "Just go back cleaning your gun or whatever you're doing before..."
"Gladly..."
The British recruit went back to checking her assault rifle, while the Australian recruit looked down by the helicopter doors. He looked down at the landscape below, as a way to distract himself during the trip.
A short while later, the pilot had noticed a nearby clearing near a forested boundary.
"Sir, we got a clearing up ahead..." the pilot informed the joker. "Beginning our descent..."
"Alright, good to hear that..." the joker replied. "Everyone try to hold on to us as soon as you can. Steve might shift at any moment and I don't want anyone going missing..."
"Yes, sir."
With that order, Pavelski held on to Iris' right arm, and Pulman held on to Adrian's left arm. Maccer then suddenly held on to the British recruit's arm, much to her surprise.
"What are you doing?" she asked him.
"What?" the Australian recruit asked, as if nothing was wrong with the given situation. "It worked out the last time, didn't it?"
"As much as I hate to admit it, yes, it did..." the British recruit sighed. "But I don't want to be stuck with you! Not after what you did!"
"Oh come on, Pommy, don't be like that..." the Australian recruit responded. "Can't we just let bygones be bygones, or whatever the hell you say?"
