The group was called by Ant for an emergency meeting. On the way to the meeting room, the group was talking amongst themselves on what the meeting was about.
"What do you think the meeting is about?" Drista asked.
"I'm not sure..." Freddie answered. "But whatever it is, it might not be good..."
"I knew we should've voted someone out..." Adrian hung his head. "Now somebody found a dead body and called a meeting."
"Shut it, Adrian!" Drista told him.
"Anyways, whatever it might be... we should take this seriously." Riley told the group. "No matter how light-hearted or grave it may be."
"Maybe it's another mission or something." Cunningham spoke. "Maybe another SCP got loose and we need to get them back."
"Yeah, another field op." Dustin added. "Another SCP needing some help from us."
"Possibly..." Riley responded.
After a few minutes of walking and pointless banter, the group had reached the meeting room of the base. Riley opened the door for the group, where they saw that the three agents are already there, and they all sat down.
"Can you guys be any slower?" Ant asked. "The Serpent's Hand isn't a home for the aged, you know."
"Sorry, but I had a hard time gathering everyone here." Riley answered.
"Alright, fine... you guys get a pass..." Ant responded. "Anyways, we have received a transmission from an unknown source. We have this meeting just to know what this is."
"It might be a cognitohazard..." Ash spoke. "Maybe the Foundation sent us this just to kill us off."
"I don't think the Foundation's skilled enough to use those tactics against us." Ant opposed.
"Yeah, they're just too ignorant to learn those kinds of tactics." Max added. "Too ignorant and too lazy to learn."
"I could say the exact same thing about you, Max." Ash responded.
"Aww, you just flatter me, Ash." Max replied. "You know me so well."
"That's enough you two." Ant set down the projector screen to show the transmission. "It's getting annoying with your constant banter."
The two then stayed quiet, considering that their friend has the higher rank.
"At least you guys have discipline..." Riley noticed.
"Yeah, must be tough for you to handle them, huh?" Ant asked.
"They're a handful, but we have a bond..." Riley answered.
"Okay, here's the transmission..."
Ant accessed the projector with its remote and started to play the transmission. The transmission was clear, and they can see what's happening.
There they saw Athena, with her mouth duct taped and her wrists tied behind the chair. She was shaking around, trying to break free but no avail.
"Thea?" Dustin blurted.
"You know her?" Ant asked.
"Yeah, that's our friend back in the Foundation." Freddie answered.
Then they saw a figure walk slowly towards the researcher, emerging from behind the camera. The figure was revealed to be the site director.
"Good day to you, Serpent's Hand." the site director greeted. "I presume I would be speaking to you Dustin... and as you can see, I have your friend here with me."
