I've written fanfiction before, so I should warn you that while I can give fluff peices, I'm known for my angst. So this story will have it's angst in it, but it will only make the couple stronger as I try to be as realistic as possible. Just prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions.

Waiting to see the lights dim down on her, Ariana held her final pose before the complete stage went dark. Immediately heading off, Ariana began to take her ear piece off as she walked towards her dressing room. Thanking the crew as she passed, Ariana did her best to keep things light and fun while on tour. Making her way into her dressing room, Ariana wasted no time in slipping out of her costume while she looked on at her phone to see if Sean had called. Though they had talked once or twice, Ariana knew that things were still a bit off between them, which she hated. Getting a knock at the door, Ariana looked on to see that Scooter and Nathan were at the door.

“Hey, can we talk for a quick moment?” Scooter asked as Ariana was a bit taken aback with Nathan being in her dressing room, since this was the first actual moment they had seen each other

“Uh, sure. I’ve got like twenty minutes before meet and greets” Ariana told him

“Yeah, I know. I just wanted to run an idea by you” Scooter said

“Should I be afraid?” Ariana asked skeptically as she looked on at Nathan then Scooter

“…I’ve been getting a lot of twitter requests from the fans about our song we had together. I was wondering if you wanted to start performing it at the end of my set?” Nathan asked as Ariana stood a bit shocked

“Almost is never enough” Ariana replied as that was the only thing she could think to say

“We could work it out, switch up the order of your songs for you set, that’s if you wanted to” Scooter said as Ariana looked on at them both

“I only ask because I know you loved the song, then you were performing a lot of the old stuff, so I just figured….” Nathan began to say

“No, I get it” Ariana replied “I just…I don’t think I want to do that” Ariana replied as Nathan wore a sad look on his face after he got her answer

“It’s cool, I get it” Nathan replied as he tried to play if off

“I just think we should distance ourselves as much as possible because it’ll only lead to the media feeding off of something that just isn’t there anymore. Doing this song together, I think the media will take that and run with it” Ariana said

“Yeah, I get it. No need to explain further” Nathan said as he gave a weak smile “Good show tonight, you were….as always, great” he said giving her a smile before he turned to leave. Watching as Nathan left, Ariana looked over to see Scooter giving her a look
