The media had their frenzy, playing it up for what it was, a family tragedy. Standing beside her, Sean was unable to read her as it had been the hardest thing to do with her emotions being shut off completely. Concealed with dark shades, Ariana blocked out the world and potentially every emotion in her. Feeling more alone than ever, Ariana stood amongst the people she loved, but still felt alone as she looked on at the casket of her father’s body concealed inside.

I've seen the world
Done it all
Had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant

Running his hand through his hair, Scooter looked on in disbelief as he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Trying to process the way she was acting, Scooter hoped that she would say something that would give him some bit of room to work with. Banking on his relationship with her now more than ever, Scooter hoped to talk to her the way he used to.

“Think about this. Think about what you’re asking to do…” Scooter began to warn her

“I’ve thought about it and I want out. I quit” Ariana replied “I’m done with singing, I’m done with everything” she told him as she turned to leave his office

“Ari, wait. Ari, talk to me!?!” Scooter exclaimed as he attempted to follow behind her

And Bel Air now
Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

Making his way up the small set of steps, Sean heard the roar of the audience as they clapped for him. Unbuttoning his dress jacket, Sean walked towards the podium to hold the illustrious award that every artist spent their whole life to obtain. Holding the Grammy in his possession, Sean smiled brightly as he turned to look on at the audience. Keying on specific people that had made the biggest impact in his life, Sean surveyed them all to get the final glance to see that Ariana wasn’t there.
