Scurrying around the house, Ariana did her last minute cleaning as she wanted to make sure everything was in order for when Sean came. Fluffing the pillows on her bed, Ariana made sure that he had all his necessary grooming stuff even though she was sure he’d come with his usual kit in hand. With Christmas in full effect, Ariana still second guessed her present for him as she was always sure he had everything that any guy could possibly own. Sean wasn’t the type to drop hints and hope to get it like her other past relationships, when it came to Sean he treated himself as well as others to the things he thought people deserved. Coming down the staircase, Joan and Nona couldn’t help but notice how she was moving like a chicken with her head cut off.

“Babydoll, why are you rushing so?” Nona asked as Ariana began to fluff the Christmas tree

“Sean’s coming” Joan replied

“Sean’s coming!” Ariana called out as she arranged Sean’s presents under the tree

“Ari, I don’t think Sean cares much about the fluffing of the tree. Why don’t you sit down and calm down” Joan told her

“But he’s coming and I need to make sure everything is adequate enough. He just lost his grandmother, I need to provide a safe haven…” Ariana said as she walked into the kitchen and began to look through the fridge “Nona, where’s the chicken parmesian? You know he loves that. Ooh, the wings, we need the wings….” She began to say before Nona grabbed her shoulders

“Babydoll, breath. Take a seat and breath” Nona told her

“I’m acting like I’m losing my mind, am I?” Ariana asked as she looked from her grandmother to her mother

“Kind of, sort of” Joan replied

“I’m sorry to be so demanding, it’s just….I’m trying to be there for him and I want to make sure that I’m doing a good job at it” Ariana sighed “His grandmother was important to him like grandpa was to me. The pain he must be feeling, I just…I know what it felt like, but I got through mine because he was soo good at being there for me” she said

“I’m pretty sure he’s seeing all that you’re doing” Joan told her

“Sometimes it’s not about what we do for somebody to help them through, it’s about the fact that we care enough to do” Nona said before the doorbell rang and Ariana’s attention quickly shifted towards the door

“You should answer that, something tells me your sanity will come back once you do” Joan smiled before Ariana walked towards the door to his figure through clowdy glass of the door. Taking a deep breath, Ariana opened up the door to see Sean standing with his duffle bag in hand. Letting a smile slowly crack on his face, Sean pulled out a mistletoe from behind his back to hold up while they both step forward
