Yuri actually took less than an hour to tell her whole story, Yena found it weird how such people existed,
They accused her of doing something she didn’t do and even had the audacity to embarrass her throughout their school, that Blaire too,
Yena hates her with her whole body and even Yuri couldn’t stop her once she has the chance to see her in person,
She hates how she just left her like that, she cherished her so much and she left just like that,
She pushed Yuri off of her boat and watched her sink to the bottom of the sea as all she wanted was a friend who she could have fun with,
A friend that would make her feel what having friends feel like, she did fulfill her role but that doesn’t mean that once you did your work,
You’ll leave that easily.
Because just how Yuri explained everything to Yena, she felt every single piece of pain Yuri had with her memories,
She could never forget them and Yena knows she could never do anything to alter it since it has been done already and it’s a huge part of Yuri’s life.
What she can do take off every prick Yuri’s memories have until all of them are gone,
It may take her time and it may even hurt her a little, but Yuri’s smile and giggles would always be her priority than her wounded hands,
She already started with it and Yena’s sure she would get familiar with the pain she’ll feel in the next years with her.
Yuri never shows what she truly feels and tries to mask every emotion she has every time she can so Yena hopes they could get pass that stage of pretending.
Yuri even mentioned how she has a dream that’s already forming right in front of her, about the book she wanted to read to her brother,
And yes, she also told Yena about Hyungseo and it even made her tear up a little,
If it wasn’t for Yuri asking Yena if she was crying because of the sniffles she was hearing, Yena would’ve sobbed earlier.
The two ended with a good understanding of Yuri’s overall past,
Yena happy she got to know her more over a phone call and even though it wasn’t the most nostalgic and memorable way,
She knows that she’ll remember every single little thing Yuri told her, how she liked the strawberry jam filled her canteen sells when she was in middle school,
How she lost one of her most prized penguin keychains and how she had short hair back then,
Now Yena’s curious, how did she look 5 years ago?
Yuri’s not the tallest in their friend group so how she adores seeing a squishier and smaller Jo Yuri.
Yena was the one who dropped the call even though Yuri was still defending her side on how she already moved on from the past and she’s just focusing with finding or creating an end for her book,
Yuri was already starting her engine on her plan ‘react and defend quickly’ to Yena when she heard shouts coming from her side,
The words ‘Oppa’ and ‘here’ made Yuri know that her brother finally arrived which meant that they could eat already so Yena’s grumbling stomach would stop now,
They said their goodbyes with each other and Yena even promised that they would talk again tomorrow,
She isn’t done with annoying Yuri about her past which unexpectedly felt different coming from her.
