AOB 25: Battle of the Beds

"Who do you want to join the game, Speedometer?" Billboard asked. "Uhm, that's a hard question. I really liked Larrett's PFP, they seem nice." Speedometer replied. "Ah. I want Swordy to join. We could use him as a weapon." Billboard spoke. "That would only be efficient if we were put into teams, it wouldn't work if we were competing for immunity like we are now." Speedometer pointed out. "Oh yeah, you're right." Billboard realized. "Well, I know that I want Silver Coin to join, because then at least we can have one more competitive player in here." Candy Cane butted in. "Sorry, but nobody asked you." Billboard mocked. Sparkly came towards them and dragged her away before she could rage out on the two. Billboard and Speedometer laughed. "You can't have your temper start up that fast." Sparkly said. "I know, but I just get so mad sometimes!" Candy Cane shouted. "Well, maybe you should try meditating or something." sparkly suggested. "Hmm, that's a good idea." Candy Cane thought. Post-it brought the contestants over to watch the debut. "Alright, newcomers and contestants. This time we got 4013 votes, the most ever! The first person to not join is Whaley, with only 15 measly votes. Next is Larrett's PFP, with only 106 votes." Post-it began. "Aw dang, I really thought I would get more than 15 votes, that's really not a lot." Whaley sighed. Larrett's PFP shook her head as the two of them were taken away. "Gold Coin is next out with 165 votes." Post-it said. "Ugh! I didn't even want to be here anyway, losers!!" Gold Coin screamed. Plastic Fork was next with 239 votes. "Ah! Where am I gonna go?! Are you gonna kill me?? PLEASE DON'T SEND ME ANYWHERE, I'M AFRAID OF WATER!!!" Plastic Fork screeched as she was sent away. "God, she's so annoying." Swordy complained. "Well, you're gonna have to deal with her because you are not debuting either. you only got 270 votes." Post-it continued. Fireball was doing jumping jacks and running laps in the corner. "Uh, Fireball is out next with 387 votes!" Post-it said, confused. "Oh! Oh! Where am I gonna go! I'm soooooo ready! Let's go! C'mon! Hurry up!" Fireball spoke, clearly trying to contain himself. "Comby is gone next, with only 394 votes." Tokeny said. "Ugh, life is so unfair." Comby said depressingly. She walked away. "Don't mind her, teenagers am I right?" Post-it joked. The recommended characters laughed. "Alright, the next person out is Wallet with 520 votes! You were really close, and it would've been really interesting if you were to join!" Post-it complimented. "Aww, thanks!" Wallet replied. "Ay, no problem. You seem cool." Post-it complimented once again. "Alright, now it's down to Silver Coin and Tennis Rackety. You both got at least 600 votes. Let's see the results!" Post-it said again. A graph on the TV raised upward. "C'mon, c'mon, please..." Silver Coin thought. The bars stopped. "The debuter is Silver Coin with a very high 1286 votes, the most ever for one person!! Sorry, Tennis Rackety, but you only got 631 votes, which is not enough." Post-it finished. "Aw, shucks. I thought I would get in. Good job, Silver Coin." Tennis Rackety sighed. "Good job to you too." Silver Coin replied. With that, the 9 failed debuters were taken to the Cheeto Hotel where they would stay for the rest of the season. "Alright contestants! This challenge will be a good game of Bedwars. You will use iron, gold, diamonds, and emeralds to buy things in the shop. Diamonds buy upgrades, and the others buy items. Defend your bed at all costs. If it is broken, you cannot respawn. Last team alive wins! Also, I have randomized the teams. 4 teams of 4." Post-it explained. 

TEAMS

Red: Bucket, Candy Cane, Sparkly, Bad

Blue: Shadow Bomb, Quark, Star Coin, Watermelon

Green: Dimple, Smiwey, Speedometer, Muffin

Yellow: Page, Walmart Logo, Billboard, Silver Coin

"LET THE BEDWARS BEGIN!" Post-it screamed. The contestants were run through a course that would teach them how to play bedwars, and they would also be playing on version 1.8.9. "Alright team, we can't lose. I think our strategy should be to go to the middle, try to get emeralds, get invisibility potions, and then go to a base and break their bed. Do that to every team, and we should be good to go." Muffin explained. "That sounds good, but won't we get pushed with nobody to protect the bed?" Dimple asked. "I'm glad you asked. I've assigned roles to everybody. Speedometer, you build the defense of the bed out of wood, end stone, wool, and glass, in that order. Smiwey, construct two bridges to both diamond generators so we can get sharpness on our swords and protection on our armor fast. Dimple, you go get the emeralds, get enough so that we each have an invisibility potion. I will stay with Speedometer and occasionally go to the middle to scout out the other team's defenses." Muffin continued. The other teams were definitely not as organized. Silver Coin got to work immediately, buying 64 yellow wool and putting a three-layer defense around the bed. She then sat in the forge a bit longer to get a wooden pickaxe, wooden axe, stone sword, and a decent amount of wool so she could go to other bases. "Woah! No need to go too fast!" Billboard said, trying to slow her down. "We have to win! I don't want to be eliminated right from the get-go!" Silver Coin yelled. Page nodded reluctantly and got himself geared up as well. Silver Coin stored her spare gold in her Ender Chest so she would have it for when she died. Almost immediately, the green team was getting pushed by the Scarab alliance. The three sat on top of the green base, and with the little time that they had left, Speedometer began constructing the defense faster. Dimple and Smiwey heard the commotion and started to run back to the base with the materials that they had collected. Once they got back, the Scarab alliance had noticed them, but luckily, they had something that would surprise them. Bucket and Sparkly threw a fireball at Dimple and Smiwey, knocking both of them into the void. Bucket received 2 emeralds and Sparkly received 8 diamonds. While two of their members were dead, the entire alliance dropped down into green base to secure the materials they had. They got the diamonds and emeralds into the ender chest and tried to break the bed. Bucket had got down to the final layer, and had exposed the bed, but Speedometer jumped down to him and hit him off. However, she forgot about Sparkly, and she knocked her off. Sparkly was able to break the bed before Speedometer died to the void, rendering Speedometer gone. Sparkly was also able to kill Smiwey before she died to Dimple. "Shoot! Our plan was foolproof! Alright, well Dimple, I'll split my gold with you and we can both buy iron armor to fortify ourselves. We split up, one of us alternating the diamond generators, and the other at the middle getting diamonds and emeralds." Muffin said. Dimple nodded and went to the diamonds. "Whew! There's layer number 5!" Quark coughed. Star Coin saw the huge defense and clapped. Shadow Bomb bought a power one bow and 64 arrows. He constructed a bridge to the diamond generators and middle, and then he started to push a base by himself. He ended up killing a few people on the yellow team a lot, but he did not get their bed and he had to go somewhere else. He went towards the red base and saw nobody there except for Bad. Their defense was puny and he figured he could take them out. Shadow Bomb towered up above Bad, as Bad started doing the same. Shadow Bomb shot him off of the tower and he died of fall damage. Shadow Bomb dropped down to the bottom and broke the bed. Meanwhile, the Scarab alliance was still out trying to kill the green team. They figured they had to go all out with this one life that they had left, and so they did. The green team was the first team to be eliminated, but there was only one person left in the Scarab alliance. Bucket was the last one left. He got all the loot from the green team, and got insanely stacked. He got iron armor, an iron sword, iron tools, 5 golden apples, and 2 fireballs. He ate one of his golden apples and went back to his base. "Oh gosh, that was so stressful!" Bucket worriedly said. Shadow Bomb was still at the base, and he killed Bad with almost no health left. Meanwhile, the rest of his team was out fighting yellow, but the yellow team, mainly Page and Silver Coin, were slowly pushing them back. While the other three were fighting, Walmart Logo was sneaking around the middle trying to secure some emeralds for her team. She came back with 4, which was enough for a full set of potions, or an ender pearl. She decided to buy the ender pearl in order to instantly go anywhere. "Guys, who wants this ender pearl? We need to get blue out!" Walmart Logo asked. "I'll take it. I can go in, but someone needs to protect me so I don't die." Silver Coin volunteered. "Alright, Billboard can go with you, he hasn't done a lot." Walmart Logo ordered. "Heck yeah! Me and you can stay at the base and defend everyone!" Page yelled, grabbing Walmart Logo. "Don't touch me." Walmart Logo said coldly. Billboard and Silver Coin started making their way to the blue base, but Billboard got distracted when he saw Bucket running around the middle. After a short fight, Billboard had wiped out the red team, and had gained 8 emeralds. "Silver Coin? Change of plans, I have 8 emeralds and I don't want to die with them." Billboard said frantically. "Um, alright. Go back to the base, put them in your Ender Chest, and then come back. I need you." Silver Coin begged. As Silver Coin was towering above the blue base, Billboard ran in unseen from below. He slowly started making his way through the layers of the defense after building himself in. One, two, three. He only had two layers left. Barely holding back the entire blue team, Silver Coin threw her ender pearl and threw all of them into the void. "GO! GO!" Silver Coin chanted. Four. There was only one more layer, and it was obsidian. "Hehehe, You're not getting that bed." Watermelon laughed evilly. Billboard looked at his pickaxe, it being iron. "Silver Coin? Defend me." Billboard said seriously. He started mining away at the obsidian, with Silver Coin defending, and the other two teammates on their way. He was halfway done mining the obsidian when the other two teammates arrived. "Guys! Their bed is unprotected! Let's go!" Shadow Bomb yelled. Half of the blue team started charging through everyone and going towards the yellow base. Billboard could hear them getting closer to him, and the obsidian broke. He broke the bed, and for once, the yellow team had a fighting chance. Quark and Star Coin rushed to the yellow base as fast as they could, and they knew they could get the bed. After jumping off into the void, Billboard was back at the base. "Alright, let's just defend. Don't slip up. We can do this." Page encouraged. Quark and Star Coin arrived, and Quark started to break her way through the defense, but it was too late. Before she realized what was going on, she had been knocked off into the void by Walmart Logo, and the blue team has lost their first member. Defenseless and without a teammate to protect her, Star Coin fled, with the yellow team following her. The team was doing everything they could to move just a little bit faster so they could secure the kill. "I'll cut her off." Walmart Logo thought. Walmart Logo veered left, went up a hill at the middle, jumped to the other one, and jumped down. Star Coin was still ahead, and tried desperately to get to the blue base. She noticed a big pillar on the bridge that she would have to go above. She placed blocks behind her as she started to go up. The yellow team had no possible way of hitting her, but they decided to go all in on the 3 blue-clad objects. They charged, two at a time, towards the base. Page killed Shadow Bomb, Billboard killed Star Coin, and Silver Coin killed Watermelon. The yellow team had won the game and the challenge. "Wow, that was a nice game! It looks like Silver Coin's first challenge was a very strong victory!" Post-it announced, clapping. "Woohoo! I can't believe I actually did it!!" Silver Coin shouted. "Ayy, nice job." Walmart Logo said, impressed. "That was pretty swell, I won't lie." Quark complimented. "You did amazing!" Dimple complimented. "Thanks so much! I didn't expect this at all!" Silver Coin said, still shocked.

NIGHT SCENE

Tokeny had noticed Post-it fretting about something in the sky, and she remembered that her room on the set of AOB had a scanner in it. She walked to the room, picked it up, and scanned the flying object Post-it had been worrying so much about. After all, what could it possibly be? Tokeny thought it was just a pretty light in the sky, but it would prove to be so much more than that.
