In the morning Takada came in yelling about something.
"I've done it! Golden Week Training Camp!" He yelled
Training camp? We get to go to a training camp, cool.
"Yeah, we still need a lot of practice." Daichi said
"And there's more. On the last day of training camp, I've arranged a practice match!" Takada fist pumped the air
"Your the best Takada!" Tanaka said
"Who's our opponent?" Suga asked
"A school from Tokoyo, Nekoma High school" Tadaka said "They call themselves, Neko"
"We've heard a lot about them, their former couch and ours were rivals, we played against them a lot." Tanaka explained
"Thats right, those famous matches were called 'Cat vs Crow: The battle at the Garbage Dump'" Suga added
"You sure those matches were famous?" Tsukki said
Tadaka and Daichi spoke for a bit. They talked about why Nekoma would want to play now, Tadaka didn't tell us.
"Alright, we have an important pratice match coming up. Lets get fired up!" Daichi said
"yeah!" We all said
"Tokoyo, huh? I'll smash those city boys to smithereens!" Tanaka said
"Did you really just say 'city boys'?" Tsukki asked
"Shut up, Tsukishima!" Tanaka yelled
"I wonder what Nekoma is like! Are they strong?" Hinata got fired up
"I don't know. Just shut up." Kageyama said
"Your no fun." Hinata said looking away, he saw Noya and ran over to him. "Nishanoya! Do it again! Can you show me the rolling thunder!"
"He is such a child." Kageyama said
We trained for the night. Noya showed Hinata the rolling thunder over and over again. After about an hour or two, training was over.
"I wonder if things would be easier for Suga and Nishanoya if Asahi was around?" Hinata said as me and Kageyama gulped down our water.
"Who knows." Kageyama says
"I heard Asahi takes all the blame upon himself." Hinata "But don't you think Suga is like that too?"
"I guess they both have a sense of responsibility, even though you don't win a game by yourself" Kageyama said
"You should talk!" Hinata yelled as he pointed a finger at Kageyama. "I clearly remember your words!" Hinata put his hair in Kageyama ways and spoke like him. "I wish I could recive, toss and spike all by myself."
"Shut up!" Kageyama dropped him bottle and lifted Hinata in the air
"I wish I could-" Hinata was about to say something but he was thrown by Kageyama.
I was snickering was I saw what was happening.
"Everyone on our side of the net should be an ally." Hinata turned all serious
"huh?"
"I don't like it when we don't get along." He said.
Way to ruin the mood.
Time skip -Later that night-
When I came home my father was drunk, but not passed out. He was yelling at me for being home late.
"You come home late... And make a mess! Your exactly like-, your mothEr!" He yelled at me, his speech was slurred from being drunk
"I had volleyball and this is your mess, I'm cleaning it up!" I say putting the bottles in the bin.
"Spot back chatting!" He tried to throw a a plastic cup at me, but it didn't make it a centimetre.
I just sighed and went to walk to my room. My father suddenly came up behind me and pushed me on the stairs. When I went to yell at him, he kicked me in the side. I grabbed my side as I ran up the stairs. He went back down to the couch.
I shut my door closed and looked in my mirror. A pretty big bruise was already forming. It hurt when I touched it so I left it alone. I wipe the tears brimming my eyes. And went to sleep.
