----Elijah----
I felt so fresh right now as I walked through the house. My hair was lively and itself again and I had new clothes on. I had on my grey ripped skinny jeans, a cool black peplum top with see through material around the neck and shoulders but that was it, I thought about putting on a cute heart necklace but instantly realized that was a safety hazard and I could be choked with it in combat, and of course I had my combat boots on. I had my satchel across my shoulder and my backpack on, well, my back obviously. I had a duffel bag too that I picked up at a Walmart that was stocked up with a few guns for the unarmed people in our party.
The door where my group of people was stood in front of me and I automatically realized the missing people. Terrance and Mindy. Either they were dead or took their own path. Only one way to find out. I stepped in the doorway and felt all my insides get chilled to the bone until a millisecond later when I was standing on the street next to Alexander. He glanced over to me partially startled by my appearance, and the glanced away no longer amused. “I’m back!” I said with a smile waving a small wave to my friends behind me. I didn’t bother acknowledging Alexander’s self, because he didn’t acknowledge me being here hardly. He was the perfect asshole. Jedidiah attack hugged me squeezing the breath out of my lungs. I let out an oof. Aiden greeted me with a swipe to the shoulder and a fist bump.
Mordecai lifted up his arms and squealed in a girly voice “Elijah!” I lifted up my arms as also.
“Mordecai!” I squealed back. “Alright, now I want answers. Where is Terrance and Mindy?” I asked suddenly serious. Everyone glanced around at each other except for Alexander who just examined his fingernails. I knew now they were dead.
“Mindy decided to be a rogue bitch and go her own way even though she was unarmed and in a group of two. Then a hoard of Outcomes attacked her. Terrance was no where to be found. Likely devoured or drug off somewhere else.” Aiden explained to me. I gaped my mouth open. Terrance was a cutie too! Dang! Surprise obviously clouded my face.
“It was their fault, and there was nothing we could have done to prevent it.” Alexander told me without making eye contact. I nodded in agreement. I hated Mindy, but not enough to want her to die…
“I got you guy’s guns.” I told Alexander, Julie, and Thompson. I handed Thompson a Beretta and a Glock 17. They were small, but deadly pistols. They would fit comfortably and easily into a child’s hands. I gave him a large box of ammo to put in his pack too. I handed Alexander RPK. It was a light machine gun so it wouldn’t be much weight and it was easy to use. Alexander didn’t seem to have much gun experience so it seemed best to give him a simple to use gun that you didn’t have to chuck. I handed him a large box of ammo as well. Then I gave Julie a Ruger-mini 14. It was a carbine gun so it was light and had the same necessities as a rifle. The rest of the guns I put safely in the house and then stepped back into reality. It was not safe to keep a bag with two guns out in apocalyptic territory.
“Whoa sweet!” Thompson shouted admiring his handguns. Alexander let out a small smile and slipped the machine guns strap around his shoulder.
“Thanks!” Julie exclaimed throwing her rifle on her back. I nodded in a welcoming stance and then paced in front of Alexander showing my dominance.
Akemi stood close by me holding my hand, but my hand shifted uncomfortably in his palm. I didn’t really feel like holding hands right now. I felt like getting to the Black Market to see Elaina andBrooklyn, if they were still alive. On second thought; let’s take our time. I wasn’t really looking forward to facingGriffinagain since the ‘incident’. There was no way in hell I would ever feel like that towardsGriffin, and I hope he felt the same. To me it was a spurt of the moment mistake and we were both unaware of what was happening, and we both just got pulled in. No feelings. That’s how it was for me and I was hoping it was mutual. I didn’t want to pull away from Akemi. I liked him a lot.
