It didn’t take me long to realize Alexander had wondered off about thirty minutes after we got here. He came with us to find what he wanted, and he got it. It would be foolish of me to keep him out of my mind now though. If he were really as smart as me… well, that would be terrifying. I would never tell anyone how clever I really was, they would be too scared. Imagine having two of me… We wouldn’t have problems as long as we stayed out of each other’s ways. I had a feeling we would, but we would both constantly be spying on each other.
Earlier I had seen Ezekial wonder around to talk to the singer. I couldn’t help but eavesdrop with my ability of sharp hearing, but I could tell by the look on his face already that he had been dumbstruck. It hurt, really it did. It was only a few weeks ago he told me that bullshit about him being in love with me when I started dating Akemi. Sometimes I really wanted to believe it. Sometimes I actually did, but I knew he didn’t and I wouldn’t fool myself into believing that crap. He was looking at her with those big in awe eyes that he used to look at me like. I shook it off. This night had been so emotional.
Arguing with Alexander, seeing Griffinmake out with some random slut right in front of me, seeing Ezekial make googly eyes at a pretty talented girl that wasn’t me, and just all of it was so insane. I sighed. I wasn’t in my party mood so much anymore, but I had found Scarlett earlier, but we only had short conversation because she wanted to hangout with the host of this party who was apparently über hot. I wasn’t so sure though… some people she though were hot were super hot, total eye candy, but others had girly long hair with tats all over them and weird gross piercings. If it was the boy who introduced Jamie Banks on stage than I totally agreed with her. He was hot.
I ate a few more shrimp which couldn’t be good for my digestive track, but I didn’t give a shit, like, at all.Griffinwas sitting next to Ezekial talking to him with a huge smile on his face, and Ezekial didn’t pay attention at all. I don’t know, I just didn’t think it could be from kissing that girl… I couldn’t feel any odd emotions that stuck out from my own right now. I only really feltGriffin’s emotions clearly when they were strong. He must be having subtle emotions at the moment. I felt bad for him right now; mine were all over the place, and I wasn’t even on my dot.
My eyes were heavy and I stood up to find Scarlett. She was standing by a tall girl with brown hair in a pony tail and a tall man with brown curly hair. “Oh, there she is!” Scarlett squealed her signature squeal. They turned around and I saw a very familiar face, my cousin Mariah and her best friend Nigel, who I thought belonged with her. My tired face instantly enlightened with a huge grin and I attack hugged her.
“I’ve missed you so much! How have you been holding up? You dyed your hair red?” She blurted out. Nigel stayed quiet. He was always shy.
“Fine, I always told you I’d be a pro at this zompocalypse thing, and now. Cosmic radiation changed it. I’m a Felidae Sapien, cat girl in other terms.” I told her unsheathing my claws and opening my mouth to reveal my sharp teeth on the top and bottom of my mouth. She widened her eyes and gaped her mouth.
“Holy shit!” She said aloud. Nigel did the claw motion with his hand.
“I know right, now she can really claw the crap out of somebody!” Scarlett exclaimed. She and I laughed.
“Yeah that could tear someone up.” Mariah agreed. “I’m just so glad to see you’re okay.” She said as she hugged me tight. I hugged her back. I actually had family that I knew was alive.
