----Ezekial----

I heard the front door slam and I sat upright in my bed immediately. I heard stamping feet in the hallway andGriffin’s door closed. Instinctively I got up to see what was up. I slowly made my way toGriffin’s door and turned the door knob, but it was locked. “Griffin?” I asked making sure it was him.

“Leave me the fuck alone, Ezekial!” He spat. I rolled my eyes.

“Just trying to help. Where’s Elijah?” I asked. Was she hurt? Oh my gosh ifGriffingot her in trouble I swear… My mind began trailing off deliriously.

“Did you not here me the first time!” He exclaimed throwing something hard at the door. I took a step back with my eyes open. Their were a few possible situations that could have happened, he got her hurt, he got her in some kind of trouble, he admitted having feelings for her and she rejected him, he tried to make a move on her and she rejected him.Griffindid not take rejection well and I knew Elijah would never kissGriffin. At least not deliberately. Maybe his that crazy ex made them kiss and then he tried to talk to her about it and ask how she felt about it afterwards and she told them they were only friends. I assumed that was what happened.

“I’m going to buy some chicken… You want some or should I just get individual?” I asked.Griffinand Elijah loved food; I knew he couldn’t resist.

“I don’t want any.” He murmured. My eyebrows rose. Wow, this was serious. I left the apartment and made sure to lock the door just in caseGriffinwas in some type of trouble. I made my way through the dark streets with only a few lanterns to guide my path. All the stores were open twenty-four hours. I paced quickly into the Meat Market and bought three chicken leg packages from the vending machine. Yes, they had chicken leg vending machines. I waved to the fat Asian cashier politely, but awkwardly and then retraced myself back to the apartment.

When I unlocked the door I was a feisty red head throwing a bag over her shoulder. “Elijah?” I asked. She turned to me with rage on her face.

“Hi.” She replied hostile towards me for some reason. She threw her satchel over her shoulder.

“Wait!” I called. She sighed and looked at me. She ran her fingers through her gorgeous curled hair and caught my gaze. I walked over to her and took her hand tracing her veins with my thumb. She pulled it away. Usually she was much more loving than this. Something serious happened between her andGriffin. She was staring at the floor.

“IsGriffinbeing a douche bag? I can kick his ass if you want?” I offered giving her my toothy assuring grin. She shook her head.

“I don’t want to talk about it. I’ll see you soon Ezekial.” She told me with a small smile and then leaned over and kissed my cheek quickly and awkwardly. She was troubled. I wanted to talk to her more, but she was gone.

Griffindidn’t come out of his room all night. I knew, because I stayed up waiting. I wanted to talk to him. Yeah he was a jerk, and yeah he pissed me off a lot. But, all in all he was my best friend and he needed me. Maybe he needed to find some whores down here to flirt with. We’d go chick hunting tomorrow. That always puts him in a good mood.
