I pulled myself out of my bed inside the small apartment I was renting. It was cozy and well kept. It had one bedroom, a bath, and a living/kitchen area. I used a lot of my money on buying a flat screen paper thin television since TV still ran inEurope. I left the country just like I said I would, andEuropewas quaint and nice. It was an escape from the post apocalyptic world.

I saw something on the news a couple months ago, well more than just on the news. It was everywhere on every headline. A brilliant masterminded bombing set off through the military bases and government bases throughout theUnited Stateskilling majority. Only a few thousand escaped, or something like that. Apparently, most of the captives were taken by other mutants and whereabouts are unknown of many of them, as well as scientists or commanders of the military. A couple months ago we got tuned in by one of the heads of government base sixteen telling us that hybrids were the cause, and that not many made it, but they wouldn’t give up and hand the country over to mutant terrorists. But something in the back of my mind flared like a pulsing heart telling me that these weren’t just any mutant terrorists. They were my mutant terrorists. And something told me that this wasn’t some crazy ass plan, and that this was recreation.

I was right. Now in November theUnited Stateshas been overrun with hybrids out in the open. I’m guessing there were just to many of them to overcome the number of survivors from the bombings. Wright enterprises opened up again I heard. There making big bucks fast. How does this kid even think of that stuff? I mean come on! A kid who knows less about weapons than the average potato makes millions off of his weapon lines. How does that happen?

I bet everyone misses me like crazy. I mean come on, who can’t miss someone so sexy and intriguing. I even left with a dramatic exit. A little tug came from my stomach, but I shooed it away just like had been doing since I left in late June. I didn’t miss them at all. Oh, who was I kidding? Of course I missed them, but I wasn’t going back. I already left and they weren’t expecting me back. It would just be silly to show up now, and make up with them. I bet Elijah hates me. We hadn’t spoken since that night. I felt less and less attached to her over the months. Not emotionally, but mentally. Sometimes I feel a certain push of emotions now and then, but I can never tell them apart from my own or maybe it’s just me dreaming them up in my head for the comforting fact that they’re still there. I lost two of my best friends, Elijah, and all the others I had gotten close to over the past few years I’ve known them or since we ganged up.

I’ll tell you who I didn’t miss though; Alexander. He was such a little bitch! And now he’s a millionaire. I let out a long sigh as I opened the bedroom door and slid into my living room that overlooked the town near London. I saw people strolling through the streets through my large glass windows that took up most of the wall space and shed light onto my light bamboo wood flooring. Rent was high, because housing had drastically came up since the apocalypse. Damn realtors. I threw myself onto the couch and began playing this new foreign combat game I got here. It took my mind off a lot. I dated a few hot babes, or well… a lot, but surprisingly not as many as usual. Right now I was in a relationship with this girl name Lilly. She was fine. She had big boobs and a butt to match. Her face was eh, but she had nice blonde hair so that made up for it. I think I was going to dump her next week though. We’d been dating for two weeks now, that’s pretty long for me. I don’t do commitment. I like kissing and attention, and that’s about it. Yeah, I’m a train wreck, but I wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t.

I slammed my controller down after the big buff man with the bone through his nose crunched my spine on live play. I signed out and paced around the room angrily with my hand wrapped around the back of my head. I grunted and kicked the window hard and its glass echo bounced around the room. I pushed back my tangled blonde hair. I’d been dying it to stay on the D.L. Hybrids weren’t exactly welcomed let’s just say. Basically if you found one you’d get a good reward for them, and then who knows. Probably you’d get experimented on or killed. Probably a little bit of both.
