-----Ezekial----
It was raining. California was supposed to be hot and sunny. But ever since the disaster California is dreary a lot. I sat in a lawn chair in front of the indoor pool. “Dude what are you doing? Let’s go outside.”Griffin pushed.
“No, It’s freaking freezing outside.” I said to him like he was stupid.
“You're such a pansy. Oh my God it’s a little chilly so I’m never going outside again!” Griffin mimicked.
“Whatever.” I said watching him put on his grey jacket and walking outside. Griffin could be a real pest sometimes. I didn’t even know why he was my best friend honestly. He could be a real jerk too. I sat in the chair half wishing I would have went with Griffin but I decided I was chill with being here. I walked inside the house. I lived in a huge mansion with Griffin and Akemi in California. Everyday we had to constantly kill outcomes since we lived in the city so we built a steel barrier and went outside with underground tunnels that had control panels on the opening to the city to get in and out. Akemi designed it. He was a huge techno geek. He used to be super dumb until the radiation. I guess the inner Asian came out in him finally. Yes, Akemi is an Asian. I walked inside the house and put my white t-shirt on. I gazed in the mirror. I am way hotter than Griffin, ladies love the Ezekial, I thought to myself smiling. I walked into the deluxe million dollar kitchen that included everything stainless steel and granite. There were even two islands in there, because it was that big. “You want food Ezekial?” Akemi asked frying something in a pan.
“Are you cooking fried rice little Asian?” I teased laughing at my own joke. Gosh I’m hilarious. I should be a comedian, oh wait people don’t have jobs anymore. Blah.
“Ha-Ha, Ezekial, it’s actually bacon, but guess what? You don’t get any now you sack of shit.” Akemi laughed as he flicked grease at me. I winced in pain from the heat. Akemi laughed.
“Wait no I’m sorry!” I called chasing after Akemi for his bacon. Akemi tripped me as he ran up the stairs.
“Grr, you little!” I grunted getting back up and chasing after him. Akemi snickered.
“Oh goodness!” He squealed locking himself in his room. I sighed and walked back down stairs and began to fry my own bacon. It sizzled in the hot pan. I yawned. Days like this made me tired. I finished my bacon and walked in the living room and turned on the plasma movie screen. Then I remembered there’s only one channel and it was the news. A name on the screen caught my eye. Elijah Williams.
“Huh, what do you know? Elijah’s still out there.” I murmured to myself.
“Awh, Ezekial’s little girlfriend is lost in the big ol’ world!” Griffin teased as he walked in the front door throwing his jacket on me.Griffin laughed and plopped down on the couch.
“Ex,Griffin.” I corrected even though he already knew.
“Oh yeah, that’s right! She dumped you. ”Griffin smiled sarcastically knowing he was annoying me.
“If you remember correctly, it was I who dumped her.” I murmured.
“You think she dead?” Akemi asked worriedly behind me. Akemi made me jump; I didn’t know he was downstairs. Man, he really was a ninja.
“Uh, I don’t know.” I replied. She wasn’t dead. She couldn’t be dead. Elijah was crazy; she was a badass girl too. There was no way in hell she was dead. I knew her well enough that if something like this happened and Griffin was still alive, she definitley was too.
