Subject: The short meaningful enlightening life of Dakota

----Alexander----

I agreed to fly Scarlett to the port since we’d get their faster. It didn’t take me long to reachLouisiana’s shipping docks. All I had to do was use my echolocation to bounce back off of operating ships to locate it. I landed briskly and sat down Scarlett.

“Wow that wasn’t to long.” She replied looking around and climbing into the ship making her way to the lower quadrant door.

“Yeah I know. It’s because the vertebra in my wings are…” She cut off my sentence not caring. I swallowed my words in an annoyed response.

“Listen, I know and hear things. Elijah is my best friend, and what you did to her is not right. You knew this whole time, and Elijah may have teamed up with you if you didn’t act like such a dick to everyone you meet. Do not waste your ‘clone’ if that’s what you call it, because it’s still a life. But don’t try to trick it either into thinking you are a decent human being, because you are going to hell and you are going to rot if you don’t learn some respect for other people. A mind like Elijah should not be cloned. You just tore apart someone. That clone is probably over thinking its whole life and spiraling into an abyss of sadness, because it knows it can’t go anywhere and it is not classified as important material, and all the friends she has memories of are not really her friends. I hope you’re happy with yourself.” She raked out of her teeth as cold as dry ice. I felt chills on my spine, but my face stayed unemotional to her words. All I did in response was clap at her speech, the ultimate ‘dick move’ as she would tell me with her uneducated teenage slang words. She stared at me piercing my blood cells with her cold eyes and she walked into the ship like I was no one important.

I’m more important than her, and that’s for sure. I couldn’t help but think about what she said though as it toyed with my brain cells. Curse this advanced brain and all the thinking that comes with it! I’m always right, I’m never wrong. I’d never admit being wrong in my life, and that’s how it would always be. I just may have not been fully correct on this concept. After Elijah had left the other night nonchalantly; I knew she was pained. She may think she has this whole ‘I’m unbreakable shut the fuck up when I’m talking’ thing going, but it doesn’t work for me. I can see right past that due to the way she slopes her shoulders, and the way her eyelids are placed on her eyes at the moment, or the twitching in her fingertips when she talks. She was angry, upset, and most of all sad for her clone. They were the same in everyway except for soul. Elijah was going someplace; the other was not. Her body would evaporate in a few days after death, because a clone was simply made out of compressed particles that form together to display an image, like the ink in a copy machine except it dies like a normal human and disappears. Putting a clone together takes a few weeks and is a process almost like laser surgery. It begins forming the image through laser lights in a compressed space, and each light is filled with clear particles reflecting the image of the samples they were given. It was such an amateur scientist things once you got the gist of things.

I’d studied all about the branch of genetic engineering, clonology, in fifth grade for fun. Being homeschooled was easy. I was given the highest classes they could download for me at my level, and I did everything else to the side. I knew how to do calculus in sixth grade like a mathematician. School was easy, that’s why I didn’t go, and the fact that my parents were multi-millionaires.

I landed back near the outside of the opening of the Black Market. The clone was waiting their like she said she would. Elijah was trustworthy unlike me, and eventually she’d learn not to be, but that would be in her own time. If it’s not all about you, you’re going to die in times like these. I still hadn’t thought of what to call this clone. Should she still be Elijah?
