----Ezekial----

I sat on top of the statue placed onStaten Island. It was the Statue of Liberty, but that fell apart in an earth quake during 2048. It brought a huge uprising in riots and campaigns. Many people were angered that they build a new statue in its place instead of a replica. Now stood a statue of the sun with the titanium city model built behind it with the titanium American Flag welded to the back of the city. Honestly, it was gorgeous, but I understand the chaos that took place over the swapping of the monument.

The rumors were partly true. Here lingered a few stars that outlasted the supernova. Yolly Freeman was still living, she was a big one star, and legendary actor Chuck Norris’ great grandson, Tyson Norris, was here too, but he was nothing like his granddad. Jamie was at work right now singing to the townsfolk in the village that they built. It was quaint and I was happy. As happy as I could make myself believe. This was a dream, and I was singing on the weekends to the crowds, I was known, but I still had a yearning feeling for the ones I left behind. I wondered whereGriffinwas right now. I was worried about him. Knowing him, he probably got in trouble. Usually when that happened, it was my time to queue in, saving his cocky ass from trouble. Jedidiah was right up there too, but he got in trouble with cops and managed to handle himself in those situations; whereGriffindidn’t have the smarts to know what to do except fight fire with fire.

I dislodged those thoughts like I always did and skipped up to my feet. I saw some young village kids trying to make their way up the marble stairs for an autograph, so I swooped down and have them a huge warm smile. I was so amazed with myself. I did it. I made it. I signed my scribble signature like I always dreamed of doing all those many times and took a picture with a Polaroid printout camera. It was incredibly vintage and probably worth a ton of money, but I had no clue where they would even find something like that. It was probably stolen from a museum.New Yorkwas all broken into and ratty except for this island. Even Time Square was hell on earth. Outcomes were everywhere, literally everywhere. There was not a safe spot on the state except for the island where everything was isolated.

It was about half past eight now, and I looked over to see beautiful Jamie strut over in her brown leather jacket and fringed sandals that matched. She had on that floral skirt that I loved with her plain black tee-shirt. I swooped in and kissed her and she kissed me back. “How did you do?” I asked.

“Great the crowd loved my new number I arranged!” She exclaimed in excitement. We were both so nostalgic to the fact we came this far.

“The rockish sounding one?” I asked.

“Yep, that’s the one!” She told me squeezing my hand in excitement.

“I love that one.” I told her with my cheesy loving smile. She leaned her head on my shoulder and I noticed the crowd of villagers trying to bombard her after they followed her from the stage in town. I took her hand and led her through the usual tunnels we went to after the concert that led to our upper class village. It had all the stars and luxury houses. Ours was huge! Ten bath, seven bedroom, indoor and outdoor pools, three kitchens, loft, attic, basement, three floors, everything you could think of. Even one of those fancy circle driveways with the fountain in the center was here. We came up in the garden shack and walked out through the Plexiglas door and over the landscaped stone steps to the backdoor.

After discussing relentlessly over her performance and my coming up performances and upcoming songs, we settled on the couch for our annual movie night we had every night after a performance. “I rented three movies for the ladies choice.” I told her in a mysterious game show voice. She raised an intrigued eyebrow.

“Oh did you know?” She pressed in a sarcastic sexy tone. I flipped them over revealing, one chick flick that I prayed she wouldn’t pick, the remake of a Beatles musical, and Top Gun 13.  “Hmm, chick flick. Sorry!” She said grabbing the case and pressing the display button to start the wireless transfer onto our sixty-four inch flat screen television. A grin showed on her face in an amused way of responding to my scrunched up face. “Trust me, you’ll love this one!” She exclaimed shaking my arm.

“Pish posh.” I told her examining my cuticles like I was a girl. She shoved me playfully.

“Just watch.” She told me laughing. I put my arm around her and sighed as I began to watch the movie.

“Oh, did you hear about the huge bombing inAmerica? All the bases are wiped out, government and military staff is completely wiped out except for like a few thousand! A lot of people think its Europe becauseAmericarefused to trade withEuropeafter they told them to compromise since the budget was limited due to this era of time. I wouldn’t doubt it. I feel so sad for all the people in their though… I never had a real family as you know; I was the foster kid, but all the other families…” She sighed in despair. She felt too much. She was so vulnerable to the outside world. I held her close so she’d feel alright again and she nuzzled up to me. Of course I knew. How could I not know about something like that? And I had a sinking feeling thatEuropewasn’t behind this one. I had a sinking feeling I knew these people, and they were about to do something great, and this was just their first step to something brilliant.

“Yeah, I knew.” Was all I murmured and then turned my attention to the movie
