Earlier today I had bought a cell phone untraceable by satellites of any tracking machinery. Did it work? Well I hope so. I didn’t have enough knowledge to tell if it was a fake or not. I assumed it was, why would they cell phones that would get their home taken from them and get us all killed? I called the hospital about an hour ago and Elaina and Brooklyn had responded well to the transplants of organs, tests, and cleaning gel they injected in there blood flow that was supposed to put a covering over the white blood cells to protect them from being harmed or something like that. I was just happening she was okay. I was running down the street next to Ezekial on our way to the hospital. We both were excited to see our best friend conscious and healthy again. I couldn’t believe it. I knew they hadn’t been turning yet, but they could have. I had respect for these people now. “So, have you seen Alexander and Elijah hanging out lately?” Ezekial asked me. I looked at him and laughed. Alexander and Elijah? Bitch please! I think everyone could feel there extreme tension between them even if they didn’t some invisible connection with Elijah. “No, I’m serious; I think Akemi may have a threat.” Ezekial said.
“Ezekial; be quiet. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Elijah can’t stand the kid. Everyone knows, I don’t know how you could possibly suggest that, plus this is coming from me. I think I would know.” I told him putting my hand on his shoulder with a little bit for jealousy weighing it down than I had planned. Ezekial sighed at a response to my cockiness.
“So, how’d the party go for you?” I asked him changing the subject to disintegrate any thought that passed through Ezekial’s mind about me being… defensive of the situation. I was over it. It was just a fun time, just me being me.
“Actually great, I really like Jamie. I went to her apartment earlier…She’s really good, we recorded some stuff. She can grab sound waves from the air and put them inside things or keep them in the little orb things they appear as. It’s amazing.” He sighed smiling. He was infatuated with this girl. I felt a little challenged by him having a hot girl, and I didn’t. Maybe I’d steal Akemi’s girl for a little bit more. I smirked in my mind. Bad habits die hard. I wouldn’t really do that to Akemi though, right?
“You get you some?” I asked half curious half with a playful tone in my voice.
“Eh… I kissed her…” He said with a shy smile looking for my approval with his brown eyes.
“Pussy.” I joked. “So, are you like an item?” I asked even more curious in my tone.
“I…I’m not sure…” He murmured.
“What do you mean you don’t know? Are you making her a booty call? Friends with benefits?” I asked him surprised by this unlike himself term conclusion.
“Of course not, I’m not you! She asked me to come with her… toLiberty Island… apparently all the performers that survived are hiding out there making music where no Outcomes are. She says it’s a myth, but isn’t it worth a shot?” He murmured slowly. I gaped my mouth. It never occurred to me my best friend could one day just get up and go away with some girl…
“You told her no, right?” I asked with a small nervous laugh. He stared at me.
“I don’t know. Okay, I just don’t know.” He told me. “I like her a lot. I’ve always wanted this. If I can achieve my goals in a place like this, I can at least die happy and if I survive I’ll know I can achieve my goals anywhere.” He told me.
“You’ve known her for two days, two! I’ve been with you through everything, everything! Now you’re just going to leave?” I exclaimed in shock. “No! Tell her you’re not going!” I practically shouted at him so astounded by this idea. Ezekial let out a shocked laugh.
