----Akemi----
I didn’t get any sleep last night. All I could think about was how they could all be taken away from me; how Elijah could be taken away from me. I was really glad they didn’t pick me to be a part of this. I was sitting in the underground headquarters surrounded by police force. I thought that if I was ever around this many police it was because I did something totally insane like create my own sweatshop for all those obnoxious little white kids who make Asians sound like ‘ching chang chong’. Fuck those little fuckers. I’ll make them work for me and get me money! I sat quietly by Scarlett. The procedure hadn’t started yet. All that had been done was put the dudes in their positions, and shut down their outdoor security camera with still footage of the quiet outside barren desert. Inside on the screen, scientists and sergeants were making sure everyone was ready for the big ceremony that evening. Little did they know they’d all be trapped in there and die. I laughed a little. Man sometimes I am such a messed up individual. But, like Elena always said, ‘If I wasn’t fucked up I would be Akemi’. Maybe that’s why me and Elijah work so well; we’re fucking crazy!
I really had a craving for some lemonade. I kept tapping my foot on the inclined flooring we were sitting on. I finally turned around to Scarlett and she almost seemed startled by my sudden break of stillness. “Do you have like…an Xbox down here..? I kind of stressed out you know?” I asked hesitantly. She looked into the distance as of thinking. I was quite aware she knew she had an Xbox down here. What she was really contemplating on was if she was going to let me use it and get off task for awhile. I knew she’d come to a conclusion of yes since the plan hadn’t shifted into action yet and we were just keeping guard right now.
“Uh… yeah actually. Let me open another screen…” She trailed off getting up as she wirelessly connected an Xbox to the laptop holographic screen through a simple flick of her finger through the holographic screen. The Xbox had been sitting underneath the podium up on the incline the whole time and I never noticed it. Maybe I had sensed it and that’s why I felt the itch to play Call of Duty so bad. Nah, I just love Call of Duty.
“Black Ops?” Scarlett asked bored and expectedly.
“Don’t mind if I do.” I replied smirking as I turned my body around to face the large towering screen in front of me with the Black Ops logo large and high definition. I wish I had one of these I could project anytime any place. “So why do you just keep an Xbox inside your podium?” I asked curiously.
“Well this is our headquarters so if we ever had to go on lockdown or something my force would deffinently need some entertainment.” She replied like it was a common thing for police forces to do.
“Right…” I replied. “Sweet!” I exclaimed thinking that was just awesome.
“Yep, you’re deffinently dating Elijah…” Scarlett sighed in amusement as she shook her head. My stomach did a small flip flop and my cheeks blushed a little. I could feel it on my face. I shrugged my shoulders in my hoodie like I had to stretch, but really it was just something I did when I was nervous or embarrassed. I wonder how much she’s talked to me to Scarlett. I let out a little nervous ‘ha ha’.
“Yeah, she talks about me I guess?” I asked half jokingly with a smirk on my face.
“Well she has a few times to me.” Scarlett replied to me smiling. Ugh just give me a story you dumb bitch! I was so curious now.
“Like what does she say?” I asked.
“Oooh you’d like to know. But on another note; I love your accent!” Scarlett exclaimed in an amazed voice like being Asian was the coolest thing ever.
I let out an awkward laugh. “Thanks.” I replied. “Uh, do you have a controller; I’m used to the old controllers. Also, I’m just really lazy to use hands and stuff.” I told her blandly. Scarlett let out an ironic unsurprised laugh as she rolled her eyes like she had heard it a thousand times; probably from Elijah or her family. She rummaged through the podium’s drawer until she came across a white Xbox controller. I turned it on with the touch screen center and turned vibration on so I knew when I was about to die. I had to let off some of this anxiety with a few headshots.
“Oh my God! Oh my God! Shoot him! Do it! There coming straight for you! Hurry the fudge up! Ahh!” Scarlett began shrieking like a maniac. I paused the game.
“I cannot headshot these guys if you don’t shut the fuck up.” I told her blunt as can be. She gaped her mouth and I held a stare.
“I’m sorry I’ll try to contain myself.” She told me putting out her hand in a halt motion. I nodded and unpaused it through wireless brain wave transfer. It was kind of creepy how a machine could read your mind. I started playing again and I picked up an instakill. Ta-ta bitches! I shot vigorously through a crowd of zombies in the old abandoned area and all of them fell down almost simultaneously. I decided that was a waste of ammo and used the rest of my instakill with my knife. I could hear Scarlett whispering ever so now and then telling me to run or kill someone or ‘oh fudge’. When she was making weird noises like a really quiet ‘ahhhhhh’ right before I’d walk into a building or when I’d turn around. Her legs were all the way up to her chin as she sat on the uncomfortable floor and her eyes were big. It was as if she hadn’t ever played Black Ops. Maybe she hadn’t. I didn’t know anything about this chick.
“Do you happen to listen to k-pop?” Scarlett asked me innocently. I tilted my head to her in a ‘who da fuck do you think I am’ way.
“Bitch I ain’t Korean! I’m fucking Chinese!” I exclaimed shaking my head in dismay. Scarlett busted out laughing. “I’m serious!” I protested. “Filthy ass Koreans…” I mumbled. Scarlett was still giggling. I don’t know what’s so funny.
