Final Chapter 41: Happily Ever After?

" Levi...." Tears spilled out of your eyes and you quickly embraced Levi warmly while smiling brightly through the tears of happiness. Levi widened his eyes then returns the embrace gladly. " Did you really think l would miss being there when the brat is born? Tch.... hell no." You nuzzled your face in the crook of his neck while the bright smile is still plastered among your innocent features. Levi pulled back and looked into your eyes deeply while smiling slightly. He caresses your cheek while kissing away your tears with his soft lips. You smiled softly and clasped your hand over his. " Levi.... I thought you died....." Levi sighs and gazes upon your gleaming eyes from the tears. " You and almost everyone within the walls brat..... However, l obviously didn't." " Then what happened?" " What really happened at the stand was that Hanji stood on the sidelines, disguised of course, and waited for the right moment to strike the executioner once he raised his axe in the air. Once he did, Hanji came in and reversed the action once he swung down the axe, causing him to decapitate himself. The head rolling down the steps was his. Then the rest is obvious, l followed Hanji back to the gates and got into disguise... and now.." Levi wrapped his arms lightly around your waist and kissed your forehead. " I'm here with you and the brat." You smiled and kissed his cheek. " I'm glad you are...." Levi pulled back and rubbed your still flat stomach and lied his head on your shoulder. " It better be a boy." You giggled and intertwined your fingers through his on your stomach. " You can't always have want you want Levi.... I'm just glad to have a child with you." Levi smiled slightly at the thought of having a family of his own finally. Through all the hardships, sacrifices, and deaths.... this was his saviour. You were his saviour. " Tch. Whatever brat." You smiled softly and leaned your head against his and continued to smile.

*** 7 Months Later***

Your stomach has grown rounder and larger due to the child inside of you. You sat up against the bed frame and rubbed your round stomach.You smiled brightly once you felt a kick from the child. " Two more months and you'll be in my arms, wailing then sleeping from exhaustion. Your father will be right there beside me and he'll be the first to take a good look at your beautiful features..." While continuing to rub your stomach in small circles soothingly, Levi walked through the door with his cloak on to disguise himself when he went within the walls. He brought back some food that he brought in two bags. Levis sets the bags down on the table and walked over to you. He climbed into bed with you and knelt down to your stomach's level to place his ear and hand on it. Levi widened his eyes and smiled softly once he felt two kicks coming from the baby. Levi sits up and leans over to your lips. He pecks ten then leans his forehead against yours. You smiled softly. " I can't wait to see the child Levi...." " Me either brat." Levi bent down and kissed your round stomach gently then leaning back up to your eye level. You giggled then met your gaze with is. " I love you Levi." Levi intertwined your left hand with his right hand and squeezed your hand tightly. Both hands having the rings on them, glistening in the sunlight chummily from the window. " I love you too ( Your name). Always and forever." Levi leaned back over to your lips and gave them a passionate kiss. You smiled and gladly kissed back.

*** 2 Months Later.... Marking 9 Months In Total***

You lied down in bed next to Levi, both of you holding each other's hand tightly. Your stomach, ready to go into labor any hour or day now. The evening rolled in, the moonlight illuminating the edges of the bed and part of the room. You lied your head on Levi's chest and kisses his neck softly. " Goodnight Levi...." Levi hummed back in response and closed his eyes soon after you did. Both of you sleeping peacefully while your hands are intertwined together in a lock.

A few hours pass by and it's dead midnight. Suddenly, a churning sensation filled your stomach and uterus area. You groaned quietly in pain. You slowly opened your eyes and woke up. Sitting up against the bed frame, you rubbed your tired eyes groggily, then holding your round stomach gently. " I-It hurts...." You then felt like you were in a pool of water around your legs and thighs. Gazing down the bed sheets, you widened your eyes and started to panic. Your water broke and your stomach was in full pain to the extent. Quickly, you pinched Levi's arm harshly. Levi snapped his eyes open and sat up, rubbing the spot you pinched while groaning. " What the hel-" After looking down at your innocent features turn to a deep red color and the feeling of water around his legs, he widened his eyes and leaped out of bed in a hurry. Levi took off the blanket and placed it behind your head in a cluster, then moving your dress up to your knees while you lie down. You gripped the bed sheets tightly, trying desperately to hold in the cries of pain and agony you were in. Levi removed your now soaked undergarment and tossed it down to the floor. He widened his eyes once more when he saw your entrance ready to give birth any second. " ( Your name)... your labor. Calm down and focus on me." You gazed down at Levi with half-lidded eyes. You shook your head. " I-I can't... it's t-too much..." Levi took your hand and squeezed it tightly, smiling softly in the process. " Trust me.... it'll be all worth it in the end. Just push." You widened your eyes then nodded. Lying your head back down to your pillow, you squeezed his hand tightly, making your knuckles pure white due to the pressure from squeezing. 

You took a deep breathe and did what Levi wanted. With all your strength, you pushed as much as you could. Levi let go of your hand and cupped his hands at your entrance once he spotted the head coming out. " Two more pushes and you'll be alright..." You relaxed your shoulders from exhaustion, then pushed twice as much as before. Making the child's body come out completely. The sound of wailing resonated throughout the room softly. You relaxed your body and smiled slightly from the sound. Your forehead sweaty along with most of your body. Levi grabbed a pair of clean scissors and cut the umbilical cord that connected both you and the child. Levi grabbed a blanket near the bed and wrapped the child in it. Levi carried the child in his arms and walked into the bathroom to wash him or her off before showing them to you. After a few minutes, Levi came back out to show you the child that has been kept inside you for 9 months. You sat up then leaned your back against the bed frame. Levi walked and sat next to you in the bed with the child in his arms. He kissed your forehead and showed you the child. " I'm so proud of you.... It's a girl." You widened your eyes then smiled brightly. You carried the girl in your arms now and stroked her soft cheek with your index finger. Levi gazed down at the both of you, grateful to have you both in his lives. He wrapped his arm over your shoulder and leaned his head down on yours. " I finally have a family that loves me.... and l love them back." You looked up at Levi and smiled. You kissed his cheek . " What do you want to name her?" " You choose. You gave birth to her, so you have the right to do so." You smiled then shifted your gaze back down to the girl. "... Asuna... I'll name her Asuna." Levi kissed both yours and Asuna's forehead. " Alright."

*** 25 Years Pass By***

Together, both you and Levi raised Asuna happily. Even though society didn't recognize you as a human, there was one person that did... and that was your husband Levi Rivialle. The love of your life. Both you and Levi lied in bed, sick due to tuberculosis. Asuna, now 25 years old, tried to take care of you. However, you reassured her that there is nothing she can do to reverse what has already been decided. Asuna sobbed and kissed both of our heads before leaving the house and going back within the walls to start a new life. You clasped your hand over Levi's and squeezes it tightly with all the strength left in you. Slowly, both of your heads tuned to look at each other. " Levi.... thank you for all the wonderful years you spent with me... l love you." Levi smiled softly. " ( Your name).. thank you for being the one that loved me most in the world. I love you too.... but this isn't goodbye brat... we'll meet each other again in 2000 years. I promise you from the bottom of my heart we will." You smiled then closed your eyes with Levi. Both of you falling asleep.

Unfortunately, both you and Levi passed away due to the sickness taking control over your bodies. Asuna came back to visit, however, all she found were both of your corpses, still holding each other's hands firmly even after death. Both of your spirits roaming around the Earth together happily.

*** 2000 Years Later....***

You walked down the street of Tokyo where you were only visiting for a few days for work before going back to home to Niigata. You took out your phone and checked the time. " 8: 57 P.M..... I should probably head back to the hotel soon." You sighed and then continued on your way towards the hotel down on the street. The sidewalks were crowded with  business en and women, along with foreign visitor's from all over the world. You started to get pushed around from the shoulder blades of the work men and women. As you tried to pass through calmly, you collided heads with somebody, causing both you and the person to back up a bit. You rubbed your forehead and then bowed slightly to the person. " I apologize for bumping into you sir." The man growled then walked up at you with a scowl on his face. " Just watch where you're going brat." The man rolls his eyes then continues on his way. You widened your eyes then softened them. " He's right... l hate crowded sidewalks." You sighed then continued to walk down the sidewalk, the path clearing up now. You looked around at the stores near you and started to think about that man's features. " Why do l feel like l know him from somewhere...."
