Chapter 22: Despicable, Incoherent, And Worthless

For the past three days, life has been in the exact same course. Most of the day you spent with Hanji when training with Eren. At night, Erwin would allow Levi to escort you back to your cell. However, today as your last day in the rotting death cube. After training with Eren and Hanji, you were to be free once again in the Scouting Regiment. Right now you were in the middle of a challenge with Eren. " Remember (Your name), just aim for the nape of his neck." Hanji warned once again. The reason being for this challenge was to test my kagune in motion while fighting. Although, the so-called 'enemy' was Eren in his titan form. " Alright Eren...Now!" As Eren heard the signal, he bit his thumb, drawing some blood. In a millisecond, there was a emerald colored thunder bolt struck down to the ground. You closed your eyes to prevent any dust particles to enter. As you re-opened them, a 10-meter titan stood before you. " Yes!" Hanji screamed in delight. [ Of course she's excited. It IS a titan after all.] You told yourself sarcastically. " OK (Your name), your turn!" You nodded and shut your eyes. [ Focus (Your name)]. Two minutes later, you were still in your human form. " (Your name), what's wrong?" Hanji asked sadistically. " I cannot transform unless I feel threatened or I remember something in my past that scarred me." [ Think... Oh, my parent's death. Why... Why did they have to leave me all alone in this world?] As you remembered the forsaken memory, your eyes started to change color and a black streak ran along your eyes. " Yes (Your name)! Now, go!" You looked up at the titan. Eren was in his fighting stance, ready to fight. You then scanned the area, seeing the frightened faces of many Cadets. Hanji told them that it was an experiment and reassured them that they were fine. Quickly, you jumped to the highest point of a tree and stood on it.

As Eren saw you jump, he swooned his colossal fists at you with all his might. However, you dodged the damage by running along his arm. Jumping high in the air, you landed on the nape of his neck. Quickly, your kagune ran down your arm and sharpened at the end. With two slices to the neck, Eren's body emerged from the deceased titan's muscles. " Woohoo!!!" A loud voice boomed. Hanji had zip lined her way to the nape to recover Eren. " That was amazing! Great job (Your name) and Eren." " Uhhh..." Eren groaned. Finally, you returned back to normal and looked towards the sun. The evening was coming soon, you could tell. " Go." You looked back at the lunatic scientist, confused. " What?'' " You had to be caged up for three days, correct? Today was the last day, now you can be free." " W-What about Eren?!" Hanji lifted Eren up and hauled him to her shoulders. " It's fine! Now, go!" With that statement said, Hanji left with a despicable smirk on her face. You sighed, yet, smiled at the same time. Hanji is crazy, however, sometimes she is just so generous. You leaped off the neck and went back to the training camp to go look for Levi.

" Isn't that the monster that took on the female titan?" " Yeah, she is! I thought she was executed!" Some fellow Cadets whispered to themselves. [ Spare me.] You thought to yourself. You looked everywhere for Levi, however, the man never showed up in your peripheral vision once! " Oi, brat. Where are you going? I'm right here." Immediately, you turned around and smiled. " Levi." Quickly, you embraced him. " O-Oi brat, I have to breath!" Slowly, you loosened your grip. " I-I'm sorry." " It's fine, just don't do it so tightly." You nodded. " Let's just go get supper. From there, we shall catch up."
