Chapter 4: Dreadful Decisions♥♡

You woke up late in the morning due to last night's meeting. Slowly, you sat up in bed and slouched your back on the bed frame. Suddenly, you felt something heavy on your lap. Levi layed his head on your lap. You couldn't help, but, smile to his actions. Therefore, you took it upon yourself to stroke his soft black hair. Levi would wince a few times, then he finally got accustomed to the feeling.「He reminds me of a child rather than a grown man.」You thought as you stopped stroking his hair and climbed out of bed. Ten minutes later, you were wearing a fresh pair of clothes. As you returned to the bedroom, Levi was no where in sight.''I'm right here, brat.'' You heard a familiar voice say behind you..You turned around to see Levi already dressed in his uniform.''Oh. We better go, the king does want to see us. Did you tell the others?'' "Of course, I did. They're already on their way to Wall Rose.'' Levi said bluntly.''What?! Then we should hurry up and leave. We cannot be the last ones to arrive.'' You said as you headed to the door.''Tch. Don't you think I know that? Our carriage is waiting for us outside.'' You nodded as the both of you headed outside to the carriage.

As you exited the carriage, you couldn't help, but, stare at your surroundings. In front of you was a castle that you have heard many stories.''Stop staring, idiot. We have to hurry inside. Have you forgotten the reason why we came here in the first place?'' Levi said sounding annoyed.''I'm sorry. No, I haven't forgot.'' You said as you followed Levi into the King's domain. As both of you entered, you saw the King interacting with Commander Pixis while playing a game of chess. Both pair of eyes turned to your direction.''Ah, Corporal Levi and cadet (Your name). How nice of you to finally join our little community.'' Quickly, you saluted.''Thank you, your highness.'' ''Please, there's no need to do that.'' You complied and rested your arms down to your sides. ''Tch, where are the others? I thought that they would be here by now.'' ''They are here. However, they are in another room. I just wanted for only us to talk.'' Commander Pixis explained while standing up from his seat. The King did the same.''Why just cadet (Your name) and I?'' ''I mostly want to talk to cadet (Your name). If that's all right with you, of course.'' Levi crossed his arms.''Of course, that's fine with me. Why wouldn't it be?'' ''Wonderful, now Pixis, would you please escort Corporal Levi out, while I discuss with cadet (Your name)?'' Pixis nodded and walked along with Levi out the door. You turned to the King, whose eyes were already fixated on yours.''Please, sit down. Let's chat.'' You nodded and sat across from the King. You were growing impatient with why he asked you to come here in the first place.''Sire, if you don't mind me asking, what matter did you want to disuss with me?'' The King smiled.''I don't mind you asking at all. The matter I want to dicuss with you, is you and Corporal Levi's relationship. Commander Pixis told me all about it.'' You froze on spot.''You are aware of what branch of the military you joined, correct?''The King said in serious tone.''Yes, Sire. I'm fully aware.'' ''Great, this makes things much easier now since we are on the same page. Now, I shall give you a choice of whether to join the Military Poilce or announce your profound love for Levi is over and maintain your branch.'' The king said while sipping on some fine red wine. Your eyes widened as he said the last part of the sentence. The answer was obvious,however, if you didn't announce your relationship was over with Levi, you would have to join the Military Poilce Regiment.''Sire. Why would I choose to go to the Military Poilce? Why do they need me there?'' You asked curious of his answer.''The Military Poilce are full of pansies and fools. If to say there were to be a titan breach, nobody would know what to do. They would all cower down to fear. You are the only who can straighten them up. I looked at your records during your training recruitment days. I was astonished to see such high precision, especially with the maneuver gear.''He said while laying his chin upon his hands. You were flabbergasted and confused. Nothing came out as a response.''Don't worry cadet (Your name). You don't have to make a decision right away. I shall give you until tomorrow to decide. You are dismissed.'' You nodded. Quickly, you saluted and exited the room. You had to tell Levi what happened, however, you just wanted to be alone right now. To clear your thoughts, you saw a little mount in an open field. 「I'll just look at the sunset as my mind clears my thoughts. Hopefully, that'll work. I'll tell Levi later at supper.」You thought as you walked up the mount. As you slowly sat down, you couldn't help, but, think of the song your father would sing to your mother every time he would come back from a long expedition. Although you hated singing, this was the one song you accepted. You looked up at the sky as you started to sing.

That's an order.'' You sighed and and layed on Levi's lap. As you continued singing you stared up at the sky.

''I didn't know you could sing, Levi.'' You commented as you looked up at his face.''I can't sing, however, I heard that song all the time as a child. A famous song upon couples. Since, we are a couple, I thought I would sing along with you. Therefore, this would be the last time you would hear me sing.'' You smiled and caressed his cheek.''Ok, Levi.'' Levi grabbed your hand as you kept on caressing his cheek.''Can we go back to headquarters? I'm starting to get hungry and tired.'' You said while yawning.''Tch, brat. Didn't the King tell you? We have to sleep here, King's orders.'' ''Oh. He didn't tell me that while we were discussing.'' You sat up and faced Levi.''What were you two discussing, anyway?''「Maybe I should tell him now.」''Levi, when you are free, I need to talk to you.'' "Why can't we -'' ''Supper time!'' A familiar voice yelled. You saw that it was Mike.''We'll discuss after dinner. Got it?'' Levi said as he helped you to stand up.''Yes.'' Levi kissed your forehead and headed inside.「What shall I do? Now, I'm nervous.」
