Chapter 21: My Tears Resemble My Past

(Author's Note): Today's Anime recommendation is Clannad and Clannad: After story. Although, be warned because this Anime is like no other. It will make you cry and confused at the same time. However, even though this anime is sad, I didn't really feel anything when I watched it. The song does not belong to me and it will be the key thing in this chapter.

After Yourself and Levi ate supper, Levi walked you back to your cell. As you walked inside, you heard the gate slide shut. " Goodnight, Levi." " Goodnight, (Your name)." The sound of boots clicking were distant now. You looked to your right and saw Eren sleeping. [ I should be going to sleep too.] Gently, you lied down and shut your eyes.

Your Dream/ Flashback Of Your Past:

You walked upstairs to your parents bedroom and sighed. Your parents were sick, yet, you had no idea how to get rid of the disease. You were carrying cold, moist towels to lower their temperature. However, the treatment has not gone well. You loved your parents from the bottom of your heart. Therefore, you would do anything for them. Quietly, you strode towards their bed. " (Y-Your name)..." Your father muttered out. Lying the wet towel on their heads, you placed a finger on your lips. " Please do not talk, unless it is important." " It is important though." Both your parents placed their weak hands on top of yours. " (Your name)... we don't have much time." Your mother warned. Your heart broke and you squeezed their hands. " N-No. I-I can take care of both of you!" " (Your name). Our end is coming near. Please understand." Tears started to form from your eyes. " Please don't cry,(Your name). We always want to see you happy, no matter what. Promise us that you will always try to be happy once we past away?" Your father asked. " I-I promise!" " I'm glad. Before we pass, please sing to us. It will make us at peace." You wiped your excess tears away and smiled faintly. " Ok." The song you were going to sing was the very melody that your parents would sing to you before going to sleep. You took a deep breath and sang.

Your parents sang along with you while you were singing. When you stopped, they soon followed after. Your parents weakly smiled at you. " We are so proud of you." Those were their last words, before their hands went limp. " Mother, father?!" You screamed. However, the effort was useless due to the fact that they are already gone. You started to cry and hug their lifeless bodies. " Why did you have to leave?!" You cried. You were only 7 years old when your dear parents died.

End Of Flashback/ Dream:

You immediately sat up and started to hyperventilate from the dream. Slowly, you calmed yourself down. [ Mother, father... Why did you have to leave me? There was nobody else in my life to take care of me.] You lied back down and pondered about the flashback. As you continued to wonder, your eyelids started to flutter close and you fell into a deep slumber.
