Chapter 34: Why?

You jumped out the window and ran towards the female titan.You ran through gasping crowds, shattered houses, and previous titan mucus spheres. Looking up, you saw numerous soldiers attack the monster all over the body. However, many of them failed, paying the cost with their lives. Suddenly, another lighting bolt struck Earth once again. Slowly, you stopped running and looked up. Another titan appeared out of no where. The body structure was astonishing. The male titan had a built abdomen and facial structure, illuminating emerald eyes, black shaggy hair, and bulging muscles all over his body. [ Eren.] You're sane self thought. On the outside, you wore an irritated expression. Forcefully, your male self ran towards the female titan at full throttle. [ Stop!] You screamed in your head. The attempt proved to be useless, your body continued to run at the beast. Quickly, you jumped onto the rooftop and just stood there, paralyzed.In front of you was Eren, defeated and was lying face down on the ground. Annie loomed over Eren and smirked while lifting his head up from the ground with the roots of his hair. Before Annie could withdraw Eren from the nape, you stopped the slaughter from occurring.

* Boom*

Annie's body was thrown onto the ground like a rag doll. You had kicked her left shoulder blade, causing Annie to drop Eren's head back to the ground and toppling over. The female titan looked at you and widened her eyes. " N-Never." You murmured out. Frantically, Annie ran towards the side of Wall Rose and started to climb. However, the climb did not last long because Mikasa swooped in and sliced her knuckles, causing the titan to fall into her own demise.

You smirked and leaped to the scene. As you walked over to the disgusting fiend, your kagune started to sharpen. Mikasa stopped in front of you, preventing any further action coming from you. " Who are you?" You didn't respond back. " The titan is down. Now, we'll wait for the other scouts to arrive and arrest Annie." You walked up to Mikasa, grabbed her face with your colossal hand, and threw her backwards. The sound of a loud thump ringed through your ears. Ignoring the sound, you continued walking. When you reached the body, you went for the nape of the neck and teared it off. There in her filthy glory, was Annie.

Annie snapped her eyes open and toppled over when trying to escape. You grabbed Annie by the back of her neck and raised her head up. Once you tilted her face towards yours, you were furious. Annie was smirking wildly. " I remember." Annie muttered out. With the a little bit of sanity left in you, you opened my mouth to say something. " What... are you... talking about." " I remember how it felt when I crushed that orange-haired girl. It was like killing an innocent insect in a field. I felt no remorse at all. Same thing goes for the rest of your pathetic squad. Weaklings like you deserve to die." Annie laughed maniacally. Before she could continue furthermore, you sliced off her head with one swing of your kagune. The fiend's head rolled away from her body and onto the cold hard ground below. A smirk plastered on her face.

* Drop*

You brought your bloodied hand to your built face and felt warm tears on your slender fingers. You showed no sorrow at all, however, you did express a confused one. Your insanity personality only had two main priorities, chaos and slaughter. It simply couldn't compute any other emotions such as sorrow. But, the sane part of your mind understood all emotions. [ Why? Why Annie?]
