Chapter 14: Many Questions, No Answers

 Levi's Point Of View:

What is (Your name) talking about? Kissing Petra? I would never do such a thing twice in a row! "Wait, (Your name)!" "Leave me alone, Corporal!" I stood in my spot frozen, speechless. Petra Ral. Why can't she see that I do not love her? " Levi." That voice. I turned my body around and clenched my fists. There stood Petra, smiling and being radiant. " I need to talk to you, Petra." I told her calmly. " Ok!" She sang happily. As we walked down to my office, I tried my hardest to maintain my anger. '' Levi~" Petra sang teasingly. "Shut up and stay quiet." She smiled then nodded. Disgusting.

We both arrived at my office and sat down in our designated seats. "What do you want to talk about?" " Last night." Petra's smile fell and her eyes had terror in them. "Oh... Last night was fun." I propped both my elbows on the wooden desk, my patience thinning. "What happened after the gathering? Anything in particular?" " Everybody went to their sleeping quarters." I slammed my fists on the desk, causing Petra to be startled. " Brat! I'm talking about the kiss! (Your name) told me about it." Petra lowered her head and smirked. " You loved it. She doesn't love you as much as I do. I deserve to be your lover!" Petra yelled. " I only love (Your name), not a prostitute." She teared up and ran out the doorway. "Damn it!" I yelled at myself. Why must she always be a bother to me? Now, everything's out of order. Damn it! Before I could yell at myself once more, Erwin busted through my door. '' Levi! Gather everyone up for an urgent meeting. Now!" " Why?" I asked calmly. " There's no time to explain." Erwin left with a panicked expression on his broad face. What is going on?

I told Eren to gather everyone for an urgent meeting in the mess hall. I sat down next to Eren and an empty seat. I scanned the room for (Your name), however, there were no sign of her. I elbowed Eren on his side. In return, he yelped in pain and bellowed a 'what'. " I thought you everybody was here." " They are here, Corporal." " Then where is Cadet (Your name)?" Eren pointed towards the doorway and I turned my head. She stood at the doorway looking around the room for a seat. " Right here, (Your name)!" Eren yelled. She nodded and sat down right next to me. I could feel her warmth. ''(Your name)..." I attempted to speak to her. " Don't speak to me." She warned. I clenched my fists underneath the table and returned my focus to the front of the room.

"Cadets, Corporals, and Squad Leaders... tomorrow we will all be venturing out the walls." " What?!'' Everyone gasped. " The expedition will be our 57th out the walls. The reason being is because we have recently just discovered a new intelligent titan. A female titan. Therefore, in the early morning we shall be off into the forest. Be prepared for tomorrow's expedition. Dismissed." Erwin left the mess hall while everyone whispered to each other.

" They found out." I heard (Your name) mutter to herself. " Did you really think it would take long for Erwin to find out?" I rhetorically asked her. She didn't respond back and instead looked into my eyes. " I do not love Petra." I confessed to her. " I know, Petra confessed the truth to me. However, I still do not trust you because I already gave you a second chance, Levi. I don't know if I should trust you or not." (Your name) explained. I checked if anybody was looking at our way, luckily, nobody was. I held onto (Your name)'s hand and smiled deeply." I love you, (Your name). Tomorrow on our expedition, I will protect you with all my strength. Please, forgive me." I'm sorry, however, I can't. I do trust you, Levi. But, if you knew the real me, you wouldn't love me as much as you do now." (Your name) released her hand from my grip and left. What broke my heart the most was (Your name) not showing any emotion or remorse.

Life can be bitter and sweet at certain times.
