Chapter 13: Times Up

After you stormed out of the room, you immediately headed for your headquarters. As you turned the corner, Eren Jaeger stood by your doorway. "(Your name)." You turned your face away. "What?" "I want to tell you something. Something very important." "It can wait until tomorrow morning. Therefore, please step aside from my door." "But-" "Now." Eren backed away from your door and walked away. As soon as you walked inside, you sat on your bed. Burying your face in your knees, you started to cry. [I gave him a second chance, yet, he abuses it. Levi can have Petra. I knew she always loved Levi from the start. Why can't I ever be truly happy?]

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

You quickly wiped away your tears and got up to answer the door. Levi appeared with Petra. "What do you want' You stated coldly. "(Your name), Levi loves me now. Isn't that right, Levi?" "Yes, I do love (Yo-" Petra covered Levi's mouth with a swift movement. You sighed and crossed your arms. "I don't care." "What?" "You heard me. I don't care for that man anymore." Petra smirked and lowered her hand away from Levi's face. "Well then, we both shall be leaving now. Goodni-" Before Petra could finish her sentence, you slammed the door in her face. You walked to the bathroom and ran the bathtub full of water. You slipped off your clothes and placed your body in the tub. You bent your knees and sighed. [ I hate them all. Starting tomorrow, i'm going to become my old self. Emotionless, quiet and assertive.] You promised yourself. Soaking in the hot water, you finally felt serene. After the soothing bath, you slipped into your night gown and fell asleep.

"(Your name). I still need to talk to you." Eren complained to you the fifth time. "We are training, Eren" You replied obviously annoyed. Eren grunted and resumed training with Mikasa. All morning you have been successfully avoiding Levi by not going to the mess hall for breakfast. "Pay attention, (Your name)!" Jean yelled at you. Quickly, you snapped out of your thoughts and into your fighting stance. "Ready, (Your na-" "(Your name)!" A voice in the distance yelled. It was Christa. "Yes?" The small blonde girl walked over to you, panting before continuing. " I need help." "With what?" You asked bluntly. " Annie keeps on defeating every time i'm against her. I don't know what to do." [Annie Leohardnt. This is my chance to finally talk to her.] "Hello?" You nodded. "Ok. Let's go!" Christa exclaimed enthusiastically. As you and Christa walked over to Annie, Annie widened her eyes. " Annie, i'm goi-" " Excuse me, Christa. Before I train you, I need to have a word with Annie" You stated, cutting off Christa's sentence. She nodded and left to go to Ymir and Reiner. "What do you want?" You turned your attention back to Annie. " I want to know the truth." What are you talking about?" You stepped closer to her and stared deeply into her eyes. "Let me see your hand."

Annie hesitated, yet, obliged to your command. You held onto her hand and saw her grey-metallic ring glistening from the sun. " I know who you really are. Why don't you tell everybody else? Are you afraid?" " You are speaking nonsense." " Am I? What if I cut your thumb with your ring? Will you automatically shape shift into a titan?" Annie stood frozen in her place, not a word coming from her mouth. Before you walked back to Christa, you wanted to make something clear. "Don't underestimate me Annie, I'm not naive."

For the rest of the first half of training, you taught Christa how to defend for herself. No words came out, just action.

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

"Lunch!" Christa stated happily. You sighed and walked over to the mess hall. As you entered the building with your meal, Jean waved to you. You ignored his gesture and sat at a table alone. As you were eating, you glanced around the room ans saw Levi with Eren, Petra, Mikasa, and Jean. You were glad that you chose to sit by yourself. You stopped staring at the four of them and focused your vision on one person. Although you still had feelings for Levi, your body gave up on him. Petra laughed and he smiled. [ They look happy together. Eventually, my feelings for him will be broken down.] You gave your attention back to your food and lightly smiled. As long as he was happy, so were you.

After lunch, you went back to the outside world and ran 10 laps. Your hair flowed in the same rhythm as the wind, your head shining from sweat, and your speed was compared to a lion. You were heaving hard, however, you pushed further to your limit. " (Your name)!" You turned and frowned. Levi stood at the training grounds yelling your name repeatedly. You ignored his cry and ran further, faster.

Suddenly, you heard rapid footsteps behind you. For the second time, you turned your head. Levi was catching up with you. [ It's useless. He'll just keep following me no matter what.] You halted to a stop and gave Levi a glare. He returned the glare. " What do you want?" You asked Levi coldly. "Why have you been avoiding me?" "You know exactly why." He scrunched his face up in confusion. " If I did I wouldn't have asked you, brat. Now, tell me." You looked away from him. " Last night's incident." "What are-" "The kiss, Levi! You kissed Petra on the lips." You yelled. " Kiss?! Last night?" "Yes. If you're still confused, ask Petra, she'll tell you everything." Before Levi grabbed you wrist in anger, you snatched your wrist away. "Time's up, Levi. No more second chances."

(Author's Note): I recently watched an anime called Tokyo Ghoul and I love it. Please comment if you want me to base this story with you having one of the powers from that anime.
