Chapter 12: The Truth Is A Crime Itself

A few more minutes passed by and both of you decided to gather your scattered clothes lying on the ground. As you and Levi were getting dressed, the sun started to set. You were finally finished and Levi walked to your being and offered a hand. "Thank you." As you stood up, your back started to ache. The feeling was as if somebody stabbed you in the back multiple times. Levi looked at you worryingly. "Are you alright, (Your name)?" "My back hurts. But, i'm fine." As you attempted to walk in front of Levi, you fell to the ground. Levi shook his head. "No you aren't. Here, sit up." You did as you were told. Levi bent down and scooped up your legs and torso. You blushed madly. Levi brought you to his horse and set you upon it. His maneuver gear on his hips, glistening from the sunlight. Before Levi sat on the horse beside you, a loud thumping noise came from the ground.

*Thump* *Thump* *Thump*

You froze in your spot, afraid to even move an inch. "L-Levi...Wha-" "Damn it! (Your name), stay on the horse!!!'' Before you could retort back, you heard a zip-like sound going off into the distance. Carefully, you turned around and almost fell off the saddle. Right before your eyes was a 30-meter titan. Although, it wasn't an ordinary titan. The titan was intelligent, it's hand was over the nape of the neck, blocking Levi to kill the thing. However, you could get the feeling like you have seen this titan before. It had short blonde hair, an hour glass figure body, and had sky-blue eyes. [She looks exactly like... Annie Leonhardt. But, I thought she was a human, just like the rest of us.] You asked yourself.

You saw Levi zip-line his way up to the titan's neck and try to slice off the hand. However, the attempt was useless because the titan froze it's hand immediately. Levi had an annoyed look on his face as he recoiled from the attempt. Now, Levi was heading your way. "Levi..." "(Your name)! We have to retreat now!" Levi grabbed the reins on the horse and rode off to the side of the forest. You hugged Levi's waist in panic of what is to happen next. You turned head to see the monster. The titan kept on running straight, as if it were trying to reach something in time. As the titan was at a safe distance, Levi slowed down the horse. "Let's head back to headquarters. We have to report this." Levi stated seriously.

When the both of you arrived at headquarters, nobody was there. "Where the hell is everybody?" Levi asked annoyed. You shrugged and started to walk down the hallway. As you started to walk closer to Commander Erwin's office. You heard faint voices. "Levi, I hear voices in the Commander's office." Levi nodded and burst through the door with one arm. You sighed then entered the room with Levi. Everyone in the room stared us astonishingly. "Damn it. I forgot." Levi muttered. "What are you muttering about?" You asked him. "(Your name)!" A voice yelled loudly. "Hanji?" Hanji walked over to you very groggily."(Your name), do you know what today is?" You shake your head. "Today's my birthday!" Hanji yelled in your ear while hiccuping. You looked at Levi. " I forgot that it was her birthday. However, who the hell let her consume alcohol?" "Hey! I am a grown woman! I can consume alcohol without any supervision! In fact... why don't you try some?" Hanji said while creeping towards Levi. Before Levi could slap her, Hanji grabbed his wrist and poured the liquid into his mouth. Levi immediately snapped her hand away and started to cough. Erd started to pat his back to calm his coughing down. '' (Your name). I need to talk to you." Erwin told you. You nodded and the both of you headed outside where everything is quiet.

You gazed upon Erwin's crystal-blue eyes. "(Your name), did you ask Levi?" You nodded. Erwin smiled at the gesture. "Then you are his one and only true love." "Thank you, Erwin. However, there is a more important matter to discuss with now. Erwin-" "Commander! Commander Pixis has requested you for an urgent meeting in Wall Sina!" Commander nodded and sent him off. "We shall talk later. Until then..." With that said, he left. You turned to head back to the party when you heard muffling noises. [What is that?] You asked yourself. You passed the Commander's office and to a room two doors down. The sounds got more clear as you stood against the door. [Moaning?!] You blushed at the thought. You were curious as to who it was and peered your eyes in. The image before you made you want to vomit in your mouth. Levi was kissing Petra in such a fierce way. A way that he has never done with you. You barged into their session and walked towards them with a dark aura around you.

Petra looked at you with wide eyes. "(Your name)!" You gave Petra a glare and returned your gaze upon Levi. He gave an emotionless expression. As much as you wanted to kill him, that would've never been enough. Therefore, you slapped him across the face. The sound of the impact filled the room. Levi touched his cheek with a dumbstruck look. You left the room without saying another word. Instead, you kept asking yourself the same question. Why can't you ever be truly happy?
