CHAPTER 25: KIDNAPPED

KASUMI POV

"Hey, Hoshi, I think we should really start being worried..." I said

"Hm?"

"Ugh..." I groaned "Akihiko hasn't returned yet, and so is Ruki" I said

"Well considering the two of them is gone... Who knows maybe the two of them are together?" Hoshi said

"I don't know... Why would they?" I wondered

"Who knows, maybe the two of them secretly have something..." Hoshi grinned laughing mischievously

And there goes his Jiraiya side...

"Unacceptable!" I said slapping his shoulder earning an 'ow' from him

"How are you so sure about that?" Hoshi asked

"Ruki is in love with someone else" I said with a small smile as I recalled memories of me and my teammates

Those days when everything was still going fine, It feels kind of... Nostalgic. I never asked but now I'm wondering... 

How is the relationship between Ruki and Hideki, I wonder if kiki-sensei is still getting annoyed with his nickname

3RD POV

"Inoichi... If you would please... " Ibiki said 

"I will not submit... Whatever you do... I will protect them..." Ruki said as she breathed heavily

Having been tortured for 6 hours, and still, no information had come out of her mouth all their hopes were now on inoichi and although their orders were to get information from the blue-haired girl, They could only secretly admire her willingness to take risks and just keep quiet to protect the ones she loved... However, now was not the time to admire their captive, They had to acquire information  

Inoichi did his sign and tried to look at Ruki's memories only for him to end up falling on the ground as he started shaking due to the horror of whatever he saw

Some of the ninja's present were confused as to why it happened but so far only one person in that room aside from Ruki knew why... And that was Hideki who had been watching everything with a stoic face

'Of course... Even a hundred Yamanaka's won't be able to win against the power of a tailed beast...' Hideki thought

"Hideki." His sensei's voice caught his attention

"Yes?"

"Ruki... You knew something... from the start, Haven't you?" Danki asked as his hand gripped the rail

"Indeed," Hideki said answering truthfully

"No wonder why you were so indifferent when you heard she was leaving the leaf..." Danki said

"But Hideki..." This time Hideki could hear something laced in his sensei's voice something he did not know of and something he could not understand

"Do you still love her?" Such words rang in Hideki's ear not knowing what to answer he started to walk away but a hand on his shoulder's stopped him

"I won't get in the way of your judgment but just so you know... Be a man, Don't run away and face it, Reality can be painful but it's what makes us stronger" Danki said before he let go of Hideki

"Thanks, sensei... I'll take that advice" Hideki muttered before he started walking away

"I will never give any information... I still have people to protect... even if they hate me... I don't care" Hideki heard her voice... And he could not stand it, He didn't know why but he just couldn't...
