🏥🤒TANIA'S POV😷🤧

  I was in the operating theatre having my bone marrow transplant(BMT). The BMT is a medical treatment that replaces your bone marrow with healthy cells. I have reached a stage of cancer where my blood cells have been damaged so they have to be replaced with healthy cells from a donor so my immune system can be working well again.

  The surgery doesn't take too long though,it involves getting the donor's stem cells into my blood stream with a catheter and since I'm on anaesthetics, I'm not aware of what's going on but recovery from this unconscious state will tell if the surgery went well or not.

  As I was drawn into the world beyond while I was deeply asleep,I found myself in this beautiful place and I was in a beautiful white dress. You could call it paradise, it was so beautiful that I got really curious to know where it ends.

  It was a huge garden with roses all over the place,it had fountains and butterflies. It was perfection at its peak. As I walked,I saw this swing..... It was really long and beautiful so I decided to get on it. I got on it and started to push myself, as the wind got in my hair.... It was magical! Wait I had hair😳 This was wonderful, my hair was back and was longer and shinier than it used to be. I got down from the swing and decided to check for more amusing things,I saw fruits of all kind and then my belly started to growl at the sight of this yummy haven🍇🍉🍌🍎🍒🍏🍓🍍 so I tried all the fruits..... They were delicious!

  I was happy,I smiled as I ate to my fill and explored the wonders of this beautiful world. Then I met someone by a tree,she bowed her head and was crying, I wonder who could cry in such a beautiful place like this so I walked up to her to know what the problem was.

  "Hello there, why are you crying??"

  "Go away"

That was off but I'll let it pass,I guess she's just sad. But something was weird,she looked like someone I know,so familiar. I wonder where I've met her.

   "Crying isn't good for your health you know,you should not cry this much"

  "I said go away, go while you still can!!" She said aloud.

   "Excuse me?!!"

  "I'm stuck here and can't go back anymore,I went in for surgery for breast cancer and there seemed to be complications and I've been stuck here ever since"

  "Ohh,I just went in for surgery not too long so I'd be leaving soon"

  "You think you'd leave soon, you are getting drawn and drawn into this place. There's more to this place that you don't know,You better leave now before its too late"

   "I haven't even started exploring and you are saying I should leave,its too early..... I'm not going anywhere" I said sternly.

   "I was like you too,I was fascinated by all I saw but its just a disguise. The old lady told me to leave while I can but I did not listen now I cant go back anymore"

  "Old lady?? Where's this old lady you speak of??"

  "She disappeared,she's been here for too long and has reached her final day so she disappeared. I'm afraid the same will happen to me soon because they are going to bury my body in the real world tomorrow"

   "I'm sorry to hear this but I have lots of things I wanna see so..... See you later,byeeeee!!"

  "Wait!!..... Don't go!"

  But I was long gone,hopping like a joyful child that has eaten to his fill. There was one thing about this beautiful place, it was drawing me close and I found it more and more charming.

The one person I cherish the most after my mum was undergoing surgery and I was on top of my toe biting my knuckles as I was nervous but staying positive at the same time. I hope this goes well!

  As I paced back and forth in the hospital hallway,I got a call from an unknown number. I picked up and what I heard gave me a shock to the bones. I ran out of the hospital like a mad dog.

  "Adrian!!!" Hailey shouted as she ran after me.

  "Is he okay??!" Tania's Mum asked.

  As we got to the entrance of the hospital,an ambulance arrived and unfortunately the patient that was been carried on the stretcher was my mum. She had blood on her head like she was hit by something or someone then my dad came down from the ambulance as well. I was so mad that I couldnt think of anything else than him trying to hurt my mum.

   "What the hell was she doing with you??!!" I said as I threw a punch at him.

  I started to beat him up as he fell to the ground,I was so furious. People around tried to hold me to stop hitting him because he wasn't even making effort to fight back.

   "You hit her right?!!! You motherf*cker!! I f*ckin swear I'd kill you if anything happens to my mum!! Fuck off!!" I said to him as I let go of those holding me and went into the hospital.

  Hailey whom was lost with everything happening just ran to meet up with me as I went to the ward where my mum was. She noticed how tensed and worked up I was, she tried to calm my nerves down.

  "She's gonna be fine okay" Hailey said as she gave me a pat on my shoulder.

As we were together with my mum, some nurses and doctors ran past our ward. Hailey stood to leave and seeing the direction they were coming from,it seemed something was up with Tania's surgery..... Hailey ran out of the room. My head was in such a mess,I didn't even know where to go to anymore but I ran off to check what was wrong.

  I saw doctors and nurses leaving and entering the operating theatre, they had this tensed look on their face and Tania's mum had started crying. Pls what's going on here!!

TANIA'S POV🤧🤧

  The surgery had ended but I wasn't showing any response,the rate which my heartbeat had started to count was irregular, the doctors were already getting scared. There were not supposed to be complications anymore and the anaesthetic should have started wearing off by now but I didn't even lift a finger or move a muscle.

  I was still in this beautiful world but then things started changing suddenly, the flowers all started to wilt and the fruits got rotten. Everywhere started turning ugly and scary, I started to run back from the path I was coming from and saw the same gate I came through,it was closing and I tried to catch up and slip through but right before my eyes,it got too late and the gate SHUT!

  I started to hear strange voices whispering 'you should have left,you were warned' and it was getting louder  and louder. I was doomed! Will I never go back?! Will I stay here till life leaves my body and they finally decide I'm gone and go to bury me? Will I also disappear? Is this the end?

As I paced back and forth waiting for a positive response from one of the doctors. A doctor from opposite direction walked up to me......

  "Are you Mrs James son?"

  "Yes I am..... " I said with my heartbeat racing.

  "I need you to come with me immediately pls"

  As I started to leave with the doctor, one of the doctors came out from the operating theatre Tania was in and met with her parents..... "We are sorry but__"

  When I heard that,I stopped walking. My heart beat accelerated, I fell on my knees as tears rolled down my face......
